MN Outdoor Guerrilla Grow

I think I made a very poor decision earlier this Spring...Imma get right to it, I planted (2) bag seeds about 50' away from a 1000W HPS streetlight and my babies are still well into vegging and not looking to flower anytime soon!
Even with the cooler weather that has plagued most of MN my plants want to put all their energy into fan leaves and branches despite being full Indica. Luckly it hasnt frosted here but my Sativas finished kinda premie and tasted poor. Weird weather here has made this years crop a little funky, still havent gotten this Outdoor grow stuff down pat yet! A few insects, some sunburns and deer problems but all together a good year for my Indy's!

Well, went for a mold check. None at all yet this year. There will be sooner or later, I push my girls to the max and refuse to pull any early. The Mau Fresas will likely be the first to come down. They are purpled out nicely with little pink hairs right now, just beautiful. Wanna let the weight pack on for a few more weeks or so.

calicko, yeah, pretty much any strain would have started flowering by now. The streetlights are killing you bro. Also, flowering did seem to start later for most people this season, what strain did you harvest already ? Because it sounds like you might have pulled it a litttle prematurely if you haven't had a frost yet. It got cold here, but temps are back where they need to be.

stonedout- right on, keep checking back in bro

Love this strain. A little on the later flowering side, but the harvest will be well worth the wait. Seems as if there's at least a lb to be had per larger bush........ more if the weather stays nice like it appears to be in the forecast. And flowering has really pushed ahead with some steam lately

Thanks for the kind words fellas, will be sure to get some pre-harvest pics in before the times comes where they all come down. Much love & respect brothers !

I noticed the stems on some of your leaves are red/purplish, and I have the same issue with some of mine. Is there something bad that causes that, or is it just part of the flowering process? Sweet plant btw, you should get over a LB from her.

Rain and wind....I better go out and check for broken branches and tipsy topsy bitches. Maybe try to daub some water out of the buds with paper towels. REALLY!:~)

Beautiful grow O.G.! Can't wait to see the harvest porn!!! That Mau Fresas is coloring up real nice!

That has to do w/ the temps getting lower at night and the plant taking ALOT of nutes (potash and phosphorus) out of the stalks and putting it in the bud (also the species). But basically is part of the flowering process and nothing to worry about. If anything it's something I look forward to, because of the increase in bag appeal that comes w/ those colors!

I had a storm break a branch on one of my plants a couple grows ago, and it was the best thing that coulda' happened to that plant! It allowed light to penetrate to the middle of the plant and really opened it up and allowed alot more buds to get bigger! That was my first intro to supercropping really.
About getting the water off your plant(s); just go and shake each branch. The water will fall right out of the buds.

Thanks for all the posts, questions, and support everyone ! Helping to make this grow much more enjoyable when I got good people aboard.

BeantownBotany- EXACTLY as doowmd answered. In this case, the overall coloring is also attributed to the genetics of Mau Fresas.

Logges- Yeah, you must have looked back to the beginning. Yes, you are exactly correct. I use copper tape around the base of each plant to repel slugs. It gives them enough of a mild electrical charge to keep them at bay. Works like a charm and it's very cheap.

Tennis1- Yeah, me to. Went to check one patch earlier and all was mostly well. Gotta check another in the morning. But smooth sailing the rest of September with temps into the 70's until October !

doowmd- Glad you like my friend. I will post more of this for you soon enough. Can't wait for this weekends Jones VS Rampage fight. Jones all the way. I got the link to free fights still.

The hand is better. Have partial use of it..... but not my thumb, which is really all that matters on your hand. Good enough to harvest and take pics though !

Well, went out (without my camera) after some rains and found that the Mau Fresas had the very beginnings of bud rot on a few buds. It was very deep into flower and ripe for the picking so I took them down.

Both filled a 55 gallon trash bag and spilled into a large army duffel bag (garage sale score!) Note the lovely purple nuggets. Very sticky !

This is the portable harvest station. The trimming machine on the left made short work of the buds. I simply trim all the buds off the stalk, take the fan leafs off since they are of no use, and the machine does all the manicuring. Does an unbelievable job too.

A little blurry I just noticed, sorry. The two Mau Fresas weighed out at 4 lbs 13 oz wet. Which by my calculations averages about 12 oz dry per plant. Which is pretty good considering it was pulled a week early, suffered from leaf spot disease which diminished harvest by 20% , and I put ALL of the popcorn buds into the bubblebags. They likely would have been 1 1/2 lb plants ideally.

Bubble Baggin' It

Everybody likes Bubble Hash (consisting of Mau Fresas, Cinderella 99, and Bubblelicious) Sure to rock your world !
