Good Job Leaffan, hope you make it through!

What I find odd about the SOPs is that you cannot write them until you have completed construction and finalized all of your equipment. It seems very odd to submit hundreds of pages of SOPs at this stage, and to me would actually display a lack of understanding of what an SOP is rather than supporting your application. I really feel that this is an area where less may be more. The ability of your QAP to write SOPs should be quite evident based on the first part of the QA report and their background.

My approach was to make the application as easy to follow as possible for HC and kept it concise. "letting HC figure it out" is not wise IMO; you should not bite the hand that feeds you. We will see if it pans out for me and how much has changed, but they seemed quite positive during my first submission.

Yikes..not me...I was quoting and forgot to use the " "...I was asking "highitsme" what was the delay...that unquoted quote was from his post months ago.
I am sorry for the confusion folks.

If you haven't already heard this check it out Trina is a lawyer from ottawa.
Thank you for posting this Mmpr613.

I highly recommend that if you are truly interested in the MMPR program you should spend the hour and listen to this.

Health Canada would not put forward a program where they don't have control over who is going to get a licence. To think other wise is naive. They control who gets a licence and their ambiguous security denial criteria is just one control tool. Sure they might not come out and say it like they did in the one case that was mentioned, rather they just park your ass and application in Limboland.
They make up their mind, put you into pile A, B, or C, and you have no clue.

One very important insight from this hour's session...If a lawer is getting dicked around and misinformed by Health Canada, imagine what you are getting!

I believe that SURELY the pile system applies. The pile criteria will likely be how many million you appear to have. I don't plan to apply for a few months. Once I do, I expect a year will pass before acquiring a license.

I wouldn't wait if you haven't applied yet.
They've already mentioned numerous times to different people that they are in the process of closing the application process entirely...

I am not in a position to apply as yet. I have about 15 months invested into planning & software development to date, but have no investor and have not truly began to look for one. I have many investor leads and a solid plan, so finding the right investor will happen in time. I am VERY happy that I was not attempting to be in the first wave, and have invested money out there while they sort this all out.

In the meantime, if my plan gets "out-regulated" making the path to LP'dom impossible, I will make my entry into the business via software development and/or environmental control systems.

Well, if you're looking for investment I might be able to point you in some directions. Who knows :)

You must really have a terrible life to have so much hate in you. It appears you only have joy in seeing others in difficulty. I feel sorry for you.
I don't understand how any of the wannabe's couldn't see this coming. Did you really think big money wasn't going to rule the day? Did you really think that doctors were going to change their position? Did you really think patients would be signing up in droves? I only feel bad because you guys are getting dicked around just like patients....but feel for ya because you sunk your life savings into this venture...not going to happen.

I've said from the start this was all about the corporatization and control of cannabis. These amendments do nothing but fuck patients out of access that is already harder than it should be.
