LP Market Data

HC has Market Data that shows a back log of crappy pot. The LPs are drowning in their own shit;

Market Data
Based on market data, there is overall sufficient supply of marijuana for medical purposes to meet the current access needs of registered clients. Please note that amounts produced do not reflect the full production capacity authorized to licensed producers.

http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/dhp-mps/marihuana/info/market-marche-eng.php

Any other industry would go in to meltdown with this much UNSALABLE PRODUCT. Tonnes of schwag just waiting to be bought.....

That being said I cant help but wonder how long before medical home grows are declared obsolete and unnecessary with all this fine medicine waiting to make the LPs a handsome profit.

MMPR Market Data - Dried Marijuana (2015-2016)

Changes in inventories may be a result of amounts of dried marijuana sold, produced, destroyed and imported.

Inventory refers to all dried marijuana held in stock at the end of each quarter. This may include dried marijuana that: (1) has been dried, but not tested; (2) has been dried and tested, but not approved; or (3) is ready for sale (has been dried, tested, approved, packaged and labelled). Companies may only keep inventory up to the maximum capacity allowed by their licence. Any company holding excess material will face immediate compliance and enforcement action.

That's hilarious and looks good on the bastards. Only thing is, prices will remain high if their waste (meaning having to destroy some of that stored crap because it'll get too old to sell) ratio is as high as it looks. Even worse if HC or whoever makes decisions thinks this is "the market". I don't think they have any clue what the real market for MJ is, and they may never know if they continue down the path they're headed with legislation.

Where's the data on how much was destroyed?
I never found that data - could be too toxic of info to release.

If a car company (ford, Chev..) had those kind of numbers they would pay us to drive their cars. Could force prices down... Oh look at us we are providing affordability for (unsuspecting) patients there by meeting one of the courts conditions.... Burn it or sell it to the sick, what a ethical dilemma.

Golly, I wonder why no one is buying it ???

I'm pretty sure HC is working hard on creating "access" before allowing personal production. This is their way out of removing or radically restricting personal growing. This is coming from the Conroy camp so don't know how reliable this is but was told 6 plants limit for licenses and you can get an increase but has to be allowed/approved by your doctor although haven't heard if there will be a gram limit baseline.

For sure it will be restricted, they can't allow the price of weed to drop again (well its down now) as that will really fuck up the LP's if all of a sudden people can grow like crazy and weed is $900 per LB once again.

I guess we won't have long to wait to see what the home grow options are. 6x flowering plants would be nice, 6x plants total would suck. Either way, I'm waiting until the dust settles before considering any sort of legal grow license, too many have been burned by government programs. Hiding in the shadows isn't as bad as it's made out to be, I'm still growing while many have to or choose to buy LP weed...

Even with that backlog of shit piling up its still not enough to put a jar on a shelf for every rec smoker once they figure out how to tax it.

If they don't allow homegrown where's it supposed to come from?

I believe he said you can grow if access is restricted and that's why some are saying it give HC a loophole to possibly restrict license access if they say were to allow LP store fronts and pharmacies to sell. Allow distribution from currently federally legal businesses.

But again it all speculation and just have to wait and see on Aug 24th.
