MMPR Grow op: Small Scale

292 actually, that works out to a 60g a day script. I never claimed to be anything but a grower. Period. I always worked within what my DG license regulated, plant #, storage amount, ect. Had the popo and Fire chief, and bylaw inspectors all tour the ameture built and run site. (I guess they give Red Seals out to anybody) I was always within the law. All my patients were cancer patients or survivors, who injested there meds orally. That's what their doctor prescribe scripts were. They were allowed 3lbs and 4lbs possession limit at a time. What they did with their script, was none of my business. Did I turn a blind eye, at 3lbs a week usage, again none of my business. I just tended to the garden. Sorry I personally wrecked the MMAR for everybody, I apologize. Being apart of the problem gives me some insight of the abuse in the MMAR, it was rampant, 900+ legal grows in my town alone, 8oo more in the next town over, and 800 more in the next. That's alot of sick people. I totally support home growing, but the MMAR was broken. Is the MMPR the answer?, not by a long shot. The only answer is total legalization. Period. All I want to do is grow. I guess that makes me a bad person.

No itsme but you talk about the mmar as if it was worse than this abortion of an mmpr system. Where people such as cancer patients etc can't even afford there medicine!!! So you tell me what's lesser of two evils someone who is dieing or just scraping by because they have an illness selling a little out the back door to put food on the table or some rich assholes making money off of people who are already fighting an illness. Think about it!!! Then comment!!!
Peace

I never said weren't following the rules but really you're claiming you turned a blind eye? I agree that cancer patients should have lots of dope. As much as they can ingest. But clearly you're not stupid. 3lb a week is why the cons felt they had ground to pull this shit on the rest of us. You personally I'm sure have done as much good as bad in your growing life. No ones perfect. But now that the grow game is legally profitable because of the type of abusive grows you were doing you want to cash in. That's just wrong man. Fundamentally fucked. Give what you're doing now a real long though.

I'm by far a rich asshole, probably one of the nicest people you will ever meet, and poor. I agree 100%, most of the current LP's are monstrosities run by greed. Why can't I be the exception? I'm not looking to get rich off the sick, I want to provide an alternative to the Tweeds, and tilrays of the MMPR. To give people the choice to get there meds from a smaller compassionate LP, who has been cultivating quality for over 25 years. The MMPR isn't going away, and there not all the same. If I can be the exception and compete against and take patients away from the big guys, and provide them with a personilized service. Why not. I'm not forcing any body, it's their choice BM, CC, grow your own, or me. Believe it or not there are people out there who are happy with the MMPR. It all comes down to personal choice, and I respect your choice. My business plan is based on $5 a gram, it will take me 1 year, to even see 1 red cent. After paying wages, mortgage, building, equipment ect. After I'm in the black I can re-evaluate prices, and can adjust acordanly up, or down. By all means if you can buy a cheaper tested, quality controled product, go for it. At 5 bucks a gram, I might see $1 of that at the end of the day. I feel my time, effort, and expertise being on call 24/7, and working every day. (The plants don't take time off) is worth a $1 a gram. I think that is reasonable.

I don't mind debating with you guys, but please refrain from personal attacks, and name calling. Let's talk like grown ups. You'll hurt my feelings.

My last harvest was March 20th, the day before the injunction was granted. My patients wanted to throw in the towel, wasn't my choice. That's why I decided to go the LP route, my only alternative to grow legit. My wife has been supporting me, and made it quite clear that I must be on the level to continue down this path. Other wise I would still be growing illegally, like I was before being a DG. My garden is my life.

I was not referring to you itsme as a rich asshole personally only the people who support or own LP's or wannabes if that makes you guilty by default oh well. I'm guilty of being a patient with an illness who after feb may be forced into this bs system or face losing my freedom so I would say I'm being forced. Wouldn't you?

Peace

Never said I was an angel, I was a part of the problem, no doubt about it. I was strictly the gardener, (DG). 100% of what I grew went to the patients, I was just tickled pink to be in charge of the facility, a dream job, my garden was my gratification. I was modestly compensated for my time 2k a month for producing 75lbs a month, it was never about the money. I had up to 900 plants, 3 195 plant and a 292 plant license. It cost aprox. $20k a month to run the site. I also helped set up about a dozen other sites pro bono, I love growing and designing and building gardens, it's what I do, it's who I am. I am a pharmer, always have been, always will be. 25 years of full time hands on cannabis cultivating. Call me a hypocrite, but all I want to do is grow, plain and simple. If that means being in the MMPR than so be it. Currently I have designed 4 MMPR facilities, and advised/consulted on the grow systems, and site design. I have also been approached by companies as far away as Florida to help design their sites. I now work with architects, engineers and contractors of all trades educating them of cannabis cultivating and facility design. I got nothing to hide.

Bro I don't think you're that bad of a guy. But if you're expecting us to believe you grew 900lb's a year and were paid a measly $24000 a year I don't even know what to say to that. That's not even discussing any production overages we all know happen. Just what you admit to is well over a million dollars of weed a year. Were all potheads but that doesn't mean we can't figure out simple math. Even if 75% of the money that pot generated went to cover over head were still talking hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. Not 24k. A full time McDonald's employee makes more then 24k. Same for any minimum wage full time job in most provinces.

I like your work, want to tell us a bit about it? If we were to replicate it. I always have overage so the ones in my family who can't get scripts get a few ounces a month.
I wish you luck, looks like you can grow and quality meds too. All that's left is a appealing price tag.

Believe it or not, its the truth. For the first year I volunteered for free. I have a couple red seal tickets, and worked in the trades until 2009, when the Olympics came to town. At that time most of the trades got laid off during the Olympics. For the first year of being a voulenteer I collected UI. I am very fortunate that my wife makes an exceptional wage, so money wasn't an issue, still isn't. I was paid $2k a month by my patients and $15/hr on trim days. I am proud to say in the 5 years I never diverted any meds other than to my patients. The only perk was my ability to make concentrates out of the sugar leaf from trim day for my personal smoke. So free smoke for 5 years from the"waste" shake. I also made cooking butter from the waste and gave it away to sick friends and family. Another perk was no more alarm clock, making my own hours coming and going as I pleased, being my own boss. My wife was very clear you can grow, but you can't become a drug dealer, and I respected that. Like I have been saying, it's never been about the money, and everything to do with growing.

In a perfect world, there would be free meds for everybody. But the reality of it is, it cost money to produce quality meds. I'm only human, and it would be nice for me to contribute financially to my family, hence the $1/gram for my time and effort. I would be more than happy to talk shop about my systems and techniques, I could write a book. Where do you want to start?

Strains
Bucket Size
Nutes
Veg Time
Lights (Hydro consumption)
Training Techniques
How you set up the vertical
Space per the 24kw
Environment controls
Yield (Specifically to the 1kw to 1plant)

Everything really to replicate it, i always turned down the idea of tree grows but when i do see them there vertical and impressive.

You know what your bottom line was.
5 dollars a gram is a ...... nice wage .... for a farmer. :) I know a few and yes, they do alright. But they manage 1000's of acres.
I'm not knocking you for what you want. It's the ideas behind it. You're not letting them know what it costs you. That's what business is about. Simple stuff.
That is the business part that patients don't like. Specially the ones who grow it right now for far less than a dollar a gram.
How are you supposed to convince these individuals that what you propose is a good thing for them? You can't and that should be fair enough.
I say if you can find a market and get your % out of whats going to be a mufti BILLION dollar industry...good for you.. Good luck!

Just leave me the fuck out of it

It's that time!!!

Well im actually really interested because if extracts hit country wide and plant counts stay the same this is the route i need to go. Unfortunately more hydro and equipment costs but no more rubbish plant material being consumed.
