Miracle grow is just fine, there is a grow off on this site between MG and Fox Farm OF using a cloned plant and the same lighting conditions/etc with no nutrients and Miracle Grow wins.

No you dont have to use miracle grow nutes. Also, with miracle grow you will probably not need to fertilize much in the first few weeks.

Also, Less is more with the whole fertilizing process.

I have used GH 3 part numerous times with MG soil. I use Jacks now for my soil grows.

ive been doing it so far so good, since then ive bought some lamberts potting soil and am trying that has anyone tried it before?
When I first started out I was using MG soil and when I moved up to Roots Organics 707 mix I saw a huge difference. I am just about to wrap up my first DWC hydro grow though and I think soil is a thing of the pst for me. DWC is awesome!!!

could i use this with good results?
dont suggest mg although 50 people will tell you that theyve been using it for years with good results. yes, it will grow a plant but it does have an excess of unneeded metals and chemicals. if you use them try to get the organic stuff and dont get the slow release nutrients. if you do use this stuff and you have time to compost it a little that would be great, buying a few earthworms for it would be great as well. imo mg gives buds a weird taste, just from experience i can easily tell the difference between mg and my own compost easily. mg makes it sour and almost bitter, ill cough a ton as well, while using organics gives my bud a fresh taste.

fox farm is great, although i have heard great things about how dyna gro can get you better results, id dyna and organic soil, subcools mix if you can get all the stuff together. i use worm castings, perlite and composted leaves and fruit, and add bat guano or transplant it to a pot with it for flower.

lamberts potting mix from home depot i bought today to try. it says its organic i bought perlite to mix with it because it doesnt have any added.

Well dont be afraid to give it a try. I took forever to try it out because I thought it was to easy to kill plants and blah blah blah. It is by far the easiest way I have seen to grow. It is cleaner, easier and the plants grow waaayyy faster and bigger. Its great man it really is.
