Turns out I have thrips, ugly lil buggers. Confirmed under a microscope + google images! Using diluted organic pesticides now. Picture updates of the scrog screen setup soon!

picture updates!
plants have been doing great since i started doing the whole foilar feeding + nutrients in water. they pretty much took off!

the last photo is of the lighting fixture i tied together, those two pc fans are sucking air right up through the cfls, and the 60mm on the right side exhausts the air through a hole

-the scrog is starting to fill out! sweeeeeeeet. my 600W HPS tent grow is in its final 20 days as well, so I can probably move this scrog under the 600w for flowering!

-took 6 clones for my new under-the-bathroom-sink home aero cloner, they all died. took two more just to see if i could do it. these are looking better (did not wilt within the first 24 hours like the other ones =\)

if these clones work out, i will be cutting 6 more for a total of 8 clones, and selecting the healthiest six for the next generation in the scrog box =D

-box is filling in nicely, i took 8 healthy growth tips for clones or else it would have been doing even better (too bad all 8 clones died =\)

-moved these 3 plants into the 600w tent today on a flowering light schedule. 4/21 should be considered their first day of flowering.
-hopefully will remember to try the 21 day flowering clone thing...
-gonna pick up new clones tomorrow for this box! yea! :D

The new clones I got were starting to grow too tall and poking into the light. My tent is still on a 12/12 schedule so I could not move them into there, and the stem is really fat so I was afraid to try any training techniques. I did want to learn how to clone successfully though, and this seemed like a great chance to start two really great clones. One of the tops of the clones is actually FIMed too, so perhaps if it develops into a big plant it will grow nice and bushy.

Since I still have not have a single success with cloning, I will most definitely be reporting my results. This time I am using a DWC tub with rapid rooter plugs (recommended to me by the guy at the hydro store) and distilled water. Cuttings were taken with clonex rooting gel, like before.

Attached also are pictures of what is going on with the scrog grow that previously occupied the box! They are now under a 600w HPS on a 12/12 light schedule. I tried to capture the growing pre flowers, hopefully they can be seen clearly.

1. The new plants in the box. The ones in dirt are OG Kush clones picked up from a dispensary. The ones in the DWC are the clones that I cut today.

2. A picture of the scrog grow now! I do realize the entire screen is not filled yet but I needed a place to put my new clones so I decided to just flower these plants.

3.Close up of the developing flowers

you are right, I don't know why they are that color..I just looked at my plants right now and they all exhibit that property, the ones under my CFLs and the 600w HPS as well. Perhaps its a symptom of heat... This closet grow does not have direct AC to it and the ambient temp does get quite hot...
I will look into it further, thanks for bringing it to my attention!

ps. checked your grow, quite impressive! The grow you attempted to model after is pretty jaw dropping as well, and giving me all sorts of ideas!!
