Trimed up final weight 100 Grams on the nose.

How many plants? Northern Lights #5 came from just one plant??? Great looking harvest!
It was a failed experement with 5 of em in one gallon air pots. Last time I had 2 plants in 2.5 gallon air pots and yeilded 11 ounces. I'm going back to what I know best and will experiment with another sog later down the road.

That is some good looking bud for a failed experiment! Looks like that experiment was successful in its own right, even though you say diferent. Appears to be a lot of big beautiful buds to me!

2 plants in 2.5 gallon pots is a ridiculous yield. Its hard to get away from that averaging 5.5 oz per plant assuming all 5.5 oz were dank. I've been wanting to experiment with SoG for awhile now because of the reduced veg time and ability to run perpetual with ease while producing a different strain every couple weeks.

The last run I got 5 ounces plus trim and popcorn from 1 plant and got 6 ounces plus pocorn and trim from the second plant and yes both were dank. I'm not done trying another sog run but next time I do it'll be with an ebb n flow setup.

You mentioned airpots with 2 plants in one pot yielded 11 ounces. Do you think the airpot make a big difference, or something else in the experiment? Thanks

No no no no. 2 plants with each one in there own 2.4 gallon airpot lol. I couldn't Imaging trying to grow two in one pot becasuse that would be a sight to see.

I understand the concept of air pots. As the roots grow out they are pruned by light and space. What else might tempt me to use them. I am currently growing with perlite Hempy style.

Heeheehee! Okay separate airpots. Do you think that airpots make a big improvement in potency and yield? How do you grow such fine looking MJ???

I've never grown in regular soil containers. I use to grow hydro but got a little burnt out on it and wanted to give soil a try. I seen these superoot air pots and just went with it and never looked back. So I can't really give you any reasons to tempt you into using em except that I definitely like em and have heard nothing but good things about em. I guess the thing that sold me was the fact the roots dont circle around the pot like a normal pot would. When a particular root gets air pruned it sends out new shoots from the pruned one allowing for more nutrient uptake.

Heres a quick video that will explain it better that I can.

It's hard for me to say if yeild or potency is increased with em because I don't have anything to compare em to. I just do what I do and I feed em when they're hungry and water em when they need it. I normally water feed water feed because I feel that they don't need fead everytime I water. That's basicly how I do what I do.

it's gotten awfully quiet in here....
anyone got an outdoor going? weather has vastly improved the last couple weeks. 10 of the 14 I set out survived the flood and looking strong. 6-8" of growth and looking a healthy green instead of the sickly yellow/lime they'd been from the flooding & saturated soil the time last I'd checked on them. A week of sunshine, 80's - low 90's temps and no rain on the way. I think I can sit back and relax about them for a few weeks now.
R.I.P. Subcool strains, I'm sorry I put you all too close to the water's edge... next year, next year... ( and some Chocolope too )

I've got a few out that survived our late spring crazy weather. A special seed I'm watching closely too. I love outdoor growing. Not real happy with the auto's I've got out, but that's why I'm am trying them...to learn.

What up Midwest? I haven't posted in while because I'm in the middle of a move. I should be all moved by Monday and hopefully I'll have some seeds in the soil by the following Monday. In the meantime here's some BHO I ran today. 1.5 Ounces of NL#5 bud got me 5 grams of some oily goodness.

Peace and happy medicating:eyesmoke:.
