Any DRUG felony and you cannot become a caregiver. I am sure that includes in any state. None of that would stop you from being a patient if you qualify.

how strict is michigan?
Strict how? to get the initial card it's not that hard if you have medical record to back your claim, there are a few clinics that seem to be issuing cards regardless of the condition. hey did you get that PM about rental plases? if not, i found a couple areas that fit your description.

It's not any felony, it's any felony involving illegal drugs which prohibits someone becoming a caregiver. No one comes to check on us from the state although I hear some people still have problems with LE.

"Primary caregiver" means a person who is at least 21 years old and who has
agreed to assist with a patient's medical use of marihuana and who has never
been convicted of a felony involving illegal drug

well you can still get raided and then they will find out so yeah the laws are enforced as normal, they still do raids in some parts of the state because they cant find out if your legal without actually seeing the card in your hand, here is your answer, you can be a patient and have 12 plants and 2.5 ounces but you can not be a caregiver with a felony. If you come here better move to a tolerant area where the cops are hands off and keep to yourself and you wont have problems thats for sure. You pretty much want to be on the eastern half of the state avoid oakland and sagniaw county and possibly a few others. Be sure the LEO and Prosecutor has a stated hands off approach.
