No bro, it just means that if you get caught 3 times, you are ordered a mandatory rehab clinic visit. It's not Legal, it's just decriminalized. In other words 'no jail for small amounts'. Get caught with over 5 grams of bud and your toast.
Unless you have $20 to give the cop, if you have enough money in Mexico you can do whatever you want anyway . . . .

Hey in Kentuckey you can carry half lb and its still a mis. You can claim it as personal.
I wish I were there LOL:weed:

This is really misleading...

The only way you can claim it's for personal use is if there isn't any evidence of trafficking (baggies, scales, large amounts of cash, etc). If they find evidence of trafficking, good luck! You're going to be charged with a felony, for sure.

Possession of UP TO 8 oz (8oz is a felony) is a misdemeanor as long as it's your first offense. Second offense possession is ALWAYS A FELONY in KY, no matter the amount.

the way i see it is they shouldnt be illegal anyway... Go Mexico!!!... People should just be responsible enough to know that some of the drugs will just f u up... STAY AWAY!!! Why should anyone be told what they can or cannot put into their own bodies... f it if people want to do it then let em, as long as they arent hurting anyone but themselves... fact is no matter how illegal they are drugs will always be available, and there would be much less drug violence without the laws... so in my opinion Mexico is definitley on the right track

Technically speaking, decriminalized is exactly what weed is in the netherlands and the shops there will only sell you small amounts. It comes down how the gov. enforces the new law. If at some point they decide to look the other way for whatever reason a smoke shop might be doable. It could have a MAJOR positive economic influence on the entire country if done well. The Amsterdam of the americas. More tourism, The "mexican cannabis cup" maybe in a few years. All they have to do is let those 5 gram baggies everyones gonna be buying from whoever the taxi gets it from to be sold in a coffeeshop/smokeshop/bar etc.

Ya, I know it's probably wishful thinking but if your gonna dream it might as well be big :):idea:

That would be great if it was completely legal. I was looking at prohibited items that cannot be brought into the country and it specified cannabis indica seeds. It didn't say sativa anywhere. We might have a special sativa cup here in the future if all goes well.

I agree completely, well, mostly. There is always collateral damage from drug addiction... the addict's family and friends suffer, so you can't really say drug use doesn't hurt anyone but the user. BUT, sending someone to jail/prison is just as bad, if not worse.

Of course, this only applies to people who are addicted, not your average pot smoker or social drug user. Most people who use drugs never become addicted, and even the ones who do don't deserve to go to prison for being sick. It's not like they can help themselves, you know?

 I was just there last month. They were happy with my five you just have to know how to play it. Plus they are not trying to scare away the tourists . . .
Well where the hell were you? Big ass city or little ass town? 5 dollars seems regular in either or. Where I live (Morelia), they dont go for under 200 pesos, this is the home of corruption and some of the worst mafia.

I tried tellin people on facebook the news but there synapses didnt fire
That's because most people don't give a shit about Mexico. I guess it's not a place for everyone but it's home now. This is great news for the Americas because Uncle Sam knows he's gonna lose money because of N Americans coming down here and getting fucked up. I'm sure that Mexico is a test subject for the north :hump: :eyesmoke:
