methadone detox

Been on done for about three years after a pretty nasty
Heroin habit.has anyone else been in this spot.I want off this shit bad but fear relapse it's like my safety net
What's steps have you taken decrease dose over time.child turkey

A slow taper to minimize discomfort and a strong desire to not do dope again.

ducks right...if youre getting wafers,chip off pieces,gradually making em bigger each day, lowering your intake..feed the chips to squirrels..
get a hobby..pot is a good one...lose yetur friends for a while,till you know you got it under control enough you can be around dope and friends and not use..
do what u gotta do..just dont go back.remember how bad you wanted off...

Take some valium or kpins as you detox...makes it soo much easier

i was at a high of 50 mg's a day, down to 15, i just went down a mg a week i think for what, 25 weeks? no problem, slow and low, that is the tempo.. take your time, no rush, if you feel iffy slow down or stop for a bit.. i stopped at 15 and have been thinking of coming down some more..

I would switch back to a short acting , for atleast 45 days then do a semi-rapid detox (5-7 days) with sub's

Long acting opiate/opioid detox = a month of hell
Short acting opiate detox = 1 week of hell

The choice is yours

I always found clondine , benzos, elitz , phenibut, and kratom to help (carefull with mixing !!! )

did not know that..lol..thats how long its been since i was into opiates..well,my obsolete method had its heart in the right place

We still get wafers here in Louisiana.

Like stated above. Slow taper.
I became addicted to opiates after a broken back. Got on methadone to get of pills. Started at 30 mg and went up to 100 mg. Stayed at 100 for a while then wanted off. Started tapering down by 5 mg a week. Got down to 20 mg a day. Got arrested and spent 30 days in jail. No methadone in jail! Detoxed in jail for 30 day and it sucked but would have sucked a lot more at 100 mg. Got out clean and never looked back.

they still make wafers...

Guess only in certain states. The three states i lived in no pharmacy stocked them and all the doctors said the same thing that they no longer make them.

i do know they still produce them for clinics but clinic drop 1 or 2 ina cup and pour water on them so i really ddon't considered that... i was going from what all the pharmacy said.

i have so much methadone, dilaudid, roxy and Xanax left over from when i was prescribed it

lol,i hear ya,drs hand that shit out..i have a few kids,and they are walking petri dishes when schools in..dr hands out codeine cough syrup and hydro syrup like hotdogs at a ballgame!..a few cough/colds into the year and one year i had almost 64oz left over!(i of course only give it to them till they get better)..

10 mg of methadone WILL kill a opiate naive person and 8mg of hydromorphone is what smack heads shoot if they don't have dope. And roxy well everyone knows of the oxy epidemic.

800 10 mg methadone
few hundred 8mg dilaudid and 30mg roxy and a few 100 2mg xanax.

Dr's have to stop giving this to everyone with a "back" problem.
I'm one of the few that actually needs it and it's a pain in the ass if you move to a different area or your dr. Retires since all the crackhead junkies ruined it.

im not sure about the def death if someone who hasnt messed w methadone took 10mg(dep on size),but it def would fuck them up!..sad to say i knew someone once who robbed 2 pharmacies aboutten years ago..their crawling infant found a done and ate it..kid almost died,but didnt..they did have to go to the hospital...

I dont know where in the country you are but hear in NY doctors are literaly scared shitless to RX any opiate , DEA is constantly pulling lisences and outright arresting many with outragous sentances like something-to-life , for simpply doing their job.

I got 4 wisdom teeth removed a few years ago , I got RX'ed 8 vick 5's LOL...........
A few years earlier I got squezed out of pain mangement ,for not keeping a appointment(??) for pill count

Wafers can only be distributed by done clinics. Regular pharms can only do the 5mg and 10mg pills.

I been on the clinic for a long time.. its more will power.. and life changing that makes a person successful..

I had to DROP my friends.. family and anyone else who is miserable.. and was taking me DOWN with them..

opiates are like a sinking ship.. everyone wants off.. but no1 wants to do the work to swim back to land.. lol.. gotta jump ship.. and START OVER MAN..... friends are just that FRIENDS.. the real friends will stand by you no matter wat.. everyone else.. isn't a friend..

learned it the hard way.. man.. got clean by growing pot honestly.. it was my hobby.. it kept me busy all day everyday I just was experimenting with all sorts of methods.. nutes.. bulbs.. everything.. but it keeps me clean. I smoke a lot of pot and oil.. but hey. its not ruining my LIFE like opiates do.. and honestly.. I think growing pot saved my life.. ive had like 10 buddies who I used with die of overdoses.. another few shot by drug dealers.. and a few murdered for snitching on dealers.. so .. I dropped them off.. lol

I started with no friends again.. and had to make friends.. it was rough.. but I now have a few friends.. who actually care about me.. and my life.. and how im doing .. and shit.. so I think its more about finding others that don't judge you for your past.. but judge you on the person you've become..

and ya.. slowly tapering off is your best bet.. first things first.. u can go down drastically from a high dose.. my boy went from 120mg.. to 50mg.. 5 mg a day.. and FELT NOTHING.. then he did 4mg a day till they wouldn't let him .. 3mg a day till they wouldn't let him. when he got to 20mg.. hes doing a mg a week.. until down to between 5-10mg.. and then from there he said hes going to buy methadone off the street.. and go down from there.. also..

once my other buddy got to 1mg.. he did 1mg every other day for 2 weeks.. then 1 mg every 3 days for 2 weeks.. and so on until he was doing 1mg a week. and he had NO WITHDRAWAL.. at all.. and has been clean for 4 years since off the clinic.

don't be scared of a relapse,,most people have them, and they make most people feel silly and guilty ,,,you'll do it once , but hopefully not again,,,,,,everyone can give you advice , but its up to you at the end of the day, STAY AWAY FROM EVERYONE YOU KNOW WHO DOES THE GEAR!!
YOULL NEVER STOP IF YOU DONT!!

Im curently on 100 mg
And have been on this dose for the last six months
Would like to taper say a mg a week till it gets low. enough till I can't stand it hold strong till bearable and then resume taper.
I've been doing dope for ten+ years this shit needs to stop
I got to take my life back before I lose ten more years to this junk
