Metallic silver paint vs. white paint

Hey guys, I'm going to be painting the inside of my grow box soon and I was going to buy some white paint tomorrow. But I have a good amount of metallic silver paint laying around. Do you think the metallic silver paint would world as good as the white? Maybe better?

Have two plastic huge bowl reflectors from low bay shop fixtures. Painted the inside of one "chrome" (metallic silver) and one flat white. White wins hands down.

If you're painting wood or a porous material, don't forget it will absorb some paint before you get good coverage.......
You probably will spend more on paint than you would for a couple mylar emergency blankets or camping ponchos from Wal Mart or the dollar store.

Looks like I'll be picking up some white paint tomorrow! Thanks guys. And I'm not painting on anything porous. Inside of 2 18 gallon totes. More of a stealth grow.

Thread was going well untill you said you are painting the inside of a couple totes.
Totes are made of HDPE plastic. Paint will not stick to it. It might look like it sticking at first , but I promise you. It will start to peel off in no time . If you are going to be using totes , don't worry about painting them.
