Yup the fuckers will try and take away our right to grow again, and we will take them to court as many times as necessary.
Our rights to grow where NEVER taken away. The people on the mmar program where under the weee under the injuction. Plus they people on the program new of the deadline to have address changes and what not.

When did they make people on the mmar stop?

No one has an affirmative 'right to grow', but that aside they probably stopped people from growing when Harper's stab at medical cannabis said 'only licensed producers can grow'.

Is there a joke here I'm missing?

Why not? Just rather be off the radar?
Exactly right Lightgreen2k. As new, more permanent rules will come into effect as early as next spring I would prefer not to be on the hit list. They haven't really done much in the way of inspections or enforcement of the old MMAR grow rules but who knows what may happen under the new regs. I live in a rural area so if Hellth Canada gave out info to the local cops about licensed growers in the area they got plenty of time to drop by and check me out. I'll just keep growing on the QT.

The opportunity came up for me to get a doctor's recommendationfor medical pot while in BC so I grabbed it up. Didn't cost me anything but gas money to drive an hour to the clinic so I went for it. Wasn't sure if there was a fee until it was all over but he just billed my Alberta medical for 2 visits just the same as if I went in for any other complaint. I've hit on all the doctors here since the MMAR first came out but never got no joy. The gov't here has always dissuaded doctors from signing people up so with all the imported docs, South Africa mostly, we have up here they didn't want to rock the boat. One even told me that smoking pot would drive me insane. lol

No joke JungleStrike. When Harper started the legal producer scam he tried to stop home growing with people that got their permits to grow under the old MMAR rules. About 40,000 or so were licensed and told by April 1st 2014 they had to have shut down their grows and destroy any supplies of pot they had stashed away. As if! lol A supreme court ruling on the Allard case got a continuation of the old rules so those that had permits could continue growing.

A recent ruling has extended home growing for those of us that have recently got the docs OK under the rules now called Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations or MMPR. That's what it's called on the letter I have at least tho the name has changed again to Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations is the new name or ACMPR.

Getting that form from the doc doesn't allow the holder to grow. You still have to apply to Hellth Canada to be legal to grow for yourself or up to two others using this form. http://healthycanadians.gc.ca/alt/pdf/drugs-products-medicaments-produits/buying-using-achat-utilisation/cannabis-medical/access-acces/personal-production-personnelle/registration-form-formulaire-inscription-eng.pdf.

For each gram per day the doctor signs you up for you are allowed to grow 5 plants indoors or 2 outdoors. Some mix is allowed so you could start plants indoors to move out in the spring I guess but I'm not sure if even the gov't knows how that works exactly. So with my 8g/day permit I'd be allowed 40 plants inside. Not bad. :)

Great post!!

Medical will always be medical. Say for instance they make it legal for everyone to grow 25 plants rec, that might not be enough for a med patient that has an 10 day a gram or even 30 gram a day script to produce there medicine. In fact recreational has nothing to do with medical.

Hoping that medical at least will be allowed to grow their own supply with maybe smaller limits for rec users but everyone should be allowed to grow if they want. Like beer, wine and tobacco where everyone can produce their own for themselves or share with friends and family as long as it's not sold. I don't see any of the big booze producers or tobacco companies going broke so it would likely be the same with pot. Most people will just go to the vendors for their supply of pot too and the big boys will get richer.

I'm sure a lot of people will have a go at growing their own pot but like brewing a decent beer at home it's not that easy to get a really decent product tho most home brewers think their stuff is the bomb.

we all have the right to grow, do the people who proclaim to lead us have an affirmative right to stop people from using something our bodies use like water, air, cannabis ???? Well sure they do they have guns...and they like to shot our pets and us to enforce that concept.

in 1923 the then liberal government outlawed cannabis and for nearly 100 years we have been persecuted ( and shot ) as some kind of low life criminals. DO THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO DISCRIMINATE AGAINST US ??? Perhaps it is time that we are given the rights that we have had and promised under the constitution but stolen from us ???

Pierre's boy got elected and now he is working hard to fix this messbongsmilie as to realign prohibition to fit his new business modal to capitalize of cannabis.
