Meat in the mix

Update.
2 1/2 weeks now. Growing pretty well, node spacing is nice and close. The WW I believed to have slowed growth, appears to be a poor phenotype and I may have to watch it later on for signs of being a hermie.

I can see roots starting to come down the sides of the cups so I'll be transplanting in the next few days then getting them under the MH inside the tent and switching out the bagseed to finish flowering under the CFL.

Thanks. Hoping the transplant goes well.

transplanting is easy just be gentle and they wont even notice you repotted them. i never see any signs of stress when i transplant

Cool. Any suggestion for when to stop using Superthrive? I was figuring using it for another 2 weeks after the transplant then stop.

i stopped using it the fist time i used it, i didnt see anything happening from using it nor anything special. i only used it for helping cuts root at a very low dose, like less then a drop per gallon other wise i saw negative side effects. i would just use it on the day the transplant takes place at, at most a drop per gallon of water thats just me though you could use it longer just be care full with it. alot of people hurt theri plants with it then help them.

Alright. I'm pretty cautious and figured I was only going to use it for the transplanting. I've heard of it stunting plants and other issues with over-use.

just use low doses and you will be fine. i bought the big bottle for 35 bucks and used like 10 drops of it.i should have got the lil bottle and it would have lasted for a good year at least

So they've been in their new pots for a few days now and are doing pretty well. I almost lost the smaller WW because some of the roots managed to have worked its way into the vents on the pot it was in and were damaged during transplant but it seems to be recovering.

The WC are doing awesome, I can almost see a new leaf set form every 3 days.

The pots are 2.5 gal auto-watering pots. I will most likely finish them out in these.

The bagseed is doing well back under the cfl and the pistals are starting to darken so not too much longer on that.

I would have to disagree with you there, natural grass and corn feed beef has much more marbleizing and flavor than that of roided out beef. As a Chef/butcher i get paid to know these things , at any rate I rather like the idea of using composted animals. They are chock full of vitamins and nutrients when they break down at the molecular level.

Not to keep arguing the statement I made but I wasn't referring to the dietary habits of the animals as I'm a farmer and raise my own cattle and know very well the difference in the meats.

I was saying that because you give something to get more it doesn't take away from what you are adding if done correctly.

Thanks. I had a scare removing the little one when I felt roots break.

Poor thing is gonna be so small when I switch the lights.

im sure she will be fine, roots grow very quick, ive brokin roots before and they only seemed to stop growing for a day or so and then took off again

So I had a high idea and realized that a lot of light was being lost into the center of the pots then being absorbed by the black so I decided to fix this problem.

I took a piece of photo paper and cut a slit half way through and down the center and formed a cone. I adjusted the angle of the cone until I could see the reflection of the bulb when at eye level with the plants then taped it in place and set it in the center of the pots.

By doing this it's now reflecting the light outwards towards the plants and the walls of the tent to be reflected back again.

i used to take black and white panda film and cut a circle the size of my pot and place white side up under the plant and make slit for the stock to slide into to bounce the light back up

I tried making something up with foil but it was a fail and this was so simple. It's so bright inside the tent now, almost like another bulb.

The photo paper is super reflective, a lot more than regular. I've never seen panda film but I imagine it would be close.

It's nice because it doesn't get in the way either.

glad it is being usefull.
panda film is a thick plastic made for grow rooms. it is black on one side and a very reflective white on the other side. it is also really cheap compared to mylar, and mush easier to hang and the panda film is light proof. if you ever need a reflective material i would look into the panda film

Will do. I've read a lot about it while searching up my grow setup and it looks like really good shit. Nice and durable and resistant to moisture.
