I'm late to this build party, but I designed for only 16 CXB3590 @50W apiece over my 6'x4' trellis, for 824 PPfD. Unless you're running your COBs a lot softer than I am, that's going to be nearly double the light pressure! Won't that put you right at 1500 PPfD?

Have you built it? How are the plants responding?

I'm setting the cob's atm & am done with one bar that was my mock-up for getting the jigs made (4 cob per bar )
i should be able to bang pout a few each day
I am intending to go high running the cobs

I'm planning to run mine at 16".

Man, you guys make it seem like building these arrays is super easy. I may just have to do it instead of buying more commercial fixtures. I was going to buy a couple more fixtures in March, but I might just build one instead.

i got everything to make my light im just too baked tbh atm lol

Wanting to build a light, I'm planning on running 2 heat sinks 22"*5.88
2 CXB3590s per sink all running on an HLG185-1400B. Is this overkill in a 2x2.5ft set up? This can run passively and would be my preference. Any suggestions would be appreciated

myself I always work slow these days , gives ya time to catch yer fooook ups (or Alesh, caught my wiring f/u) )

but we'll see how it plays out 4 cob's a bar ran @1400 with dimming 185's on each bar
I'll expand Or squeeze as needed
if I'm over doing it i'll dim back & save even more power
but up high tons of light beating down
reflectors & that polar white shigity on the wall some foil as well on ceiling
I did Well on quality by over powering with my Mars@ runs those were sorta high 30+ inches
had to have dual blowers to exhaust all that heat when MARS was burnin' in Da Sky
that pink Burple sunshine from Shitstany China over in da ghetto Way away from the Cree Mfgering crib

Dude, omg. It looks EXACTLY like the pics. Wow. Impressive, buds are beautiful and i love the minor foxtailing. What were you flowering under? Hell, what's your whole lighting used? Those look so much more amazing then I even thought. I'd be doing rdwc

I use 20 CXB 3070s in 3500k at 1400mA in a 4*8. 6inch outtake fan, coco, jacks 3-2-1. That's 100% of my setup.

I'm using 8 cxb3590''s @ 1750ma and 4 cxb3070''s @ 1400ma. So 12 total. I hope to see what it produces

it will be fire if you use jacks.
