Finally got my safari mix plants ready for the flowering Closet. Closet consists of a 4" elicent exaughst fan (152cfm) pulling air through a 4" (200cfm) phat filter using 5" insulated ducting. On top of my cab I have a exaughst filter to dampen the sound. 250w hps - magnetic ballast. 4 fans cooling cab and strengthening the plants. Cabinet lined with panda poly. And a darkroom vent for passive intake.

They just finished a 1 week veg period under T5 HO lights. I only have 4 plants as of now, sex unknown. I have started them very small @ my attempt of staggering a sog until we get everything started and cloning proper. Hopefully you will see sooner then later added to this journal, some Chimera Mental Floss, Mandala Satori and Paradise White Berry. Just waiting for the clones to start.

Plants have been potted 2x now, and in there final container. Soil used was Pro-Mix BX, added with some domlite lime, perlite and 1/3 worm castings. Feeding will be done with Liquid Karma, Tarantula as well as Botanic-care Pure Blend Pro.

Not much to show picture wise, but I will continually be updating with pics.

Just a quick update. Tonight I opened the cab to see my temp at a whopping 39.4! My plan now to help cool the cab, is raise the plants up higher so I can raise my light above my air vent. I believe my new cab is flawed with my vent being to high. The fan pulling the air inside my cab is drawing from the vent and obviously totally leaving the heat trapped under my reflector.

Plants seem good, notice a touch of yellowing on the tips of two plants. My assumption is it will be heat stress.

Feel free to comment or suggest.

2 Satori clones have been added to the flower closet. Mental floss should be here in another week or so as well.

Satori was and is by far the best Sativa dominant high I ever had. Super Super strong, I do believe it is over looked by many people because Mandala's Strains are on the cheap side.I grew some out back in the Fall of 2007.

I have 10 seeds of Satori put back in storage for safe keeping. Mike of Mandala seeds the breeder, he got sick not long ago and shut down for a while, they always shutdown every year around June or July until after January 1st, but this was even earlier and I got scared that I might not ever get anymore Satori so I got my hands on a pack for safe keeping as quick as he opened.

If Mandala seeds ever shutdown for good, I'll have an endless line of Satori because I'll breed the best female with the best male and have a life time worth of seeds. This strain is worth never letting disappear. I've never had a better energetic high with as good of an after taste such as Satori.

Satori was in HIGHTIMES best TOP 10 Strains of 2007, December issue of 2007, I have that issue.

Good luck with Satori :eyesmoke:

Ya, I did a fair amount of reading before choosing strains. My picks were Mandala Satori and DJ Blueberry. My other half picked Mental Floss and Paradise mix pack. So Lots on the go, really looking forward to these satoris though.

Quick update. I now have 3 satori clones and a mental floss. Satori #1 Mother produced two nice female clones. Also have a #4 satori clone still waiting on sexing it As well as Mental floss has not been sexed. Two of my Safaris are female, the rest culled. I have 1 Tall lengthy female and a smaller one lagging behind in size. My two clones are almost as tall as it. The other 2 small clones are newly additions. There will be more to come, hopefully Ill end up with a fem Mental Floss as well.

Safari mix and Mental Floss so far as taken the longest to sex out of the flowering group. Safari Mix I didn't find they were a hardy plant. When they were a younger, I had problems with low moisture, heat and possible fertilizing issues and the leaves showed the signs. Everything seems to be tweeked now, no more problems arising. Been feeding them 15mil/3 gallon of Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Flower Bloom and 8mil/3g every other watering. So far so good, keeping an eye on the Satoris for nut burn. I have my flower just cut down a little from the recommended dose. Satori clones are almost the size of the safari, and started a few weeks late. Seems to be a strong grower.

left side front row is a beast . wide leaves with tight inter nodes.:clap:
Ya I figured her has a male at the beginning the way she was growing. The satori clones have taken off now and as big as the small safari. They have only been flowering for 8 an 13 days :o

Satori is stretching like crazy. They didnt really have a veg period though. Straight from rooted clone to flowering. Safari mix, was vegged from seed for a week or so before putting into flower. None of them were topped or fimed, trying to maintain a sog staggered. Pain in the ass getting clones throughtout though. Until we get a full cab @ the same time. Just switched nutes over to Organic Iguana Juice Bloom, still using Liquid karma. Should have a White Berry clone added to the grow in the next few days.

Lookin good. A hashberry and a satori spouted this morning. I'm gonna grow half indoors, the whole mom/clone bit, and a couple outdoors.
