Making oil from Dry Ice Hash; questions about cannabanoids

I am trying to make a concentrated oil that will be CBD heavy. The traditional method of making hash oil by extracting the THC and CBD's from the buds with a chemical solvent can be quite costly if you want to use a pure solvent. The ultimate question is, could I use dry ice hash as the starting material when making solvent based hash oil? are all cannabanoids (cannabidiol and THC) extracted from the buds using the dry ice method? I read that the material must be heated to a certain temperature in order to activate CBD, so what I want to do is first create the dry ice powdered hash, then mix the hash with a pure solvent, then filter the material into a rice cooker where I will cook off the solvent. The reason I want to use this method is so I don't have to spend $500 on gallons of pure solvent, seems wasteful. What do you guys think?

This is for my Mom who is a stage 4 cancer patient, so your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks RIU.
