Harvest time soon , planning on making ice hash . with a press and no solvents .

ive heard mixed opinions at this stage of the process. should you dry and cure and then process the bud in an ice bath followed by different micron screens and then press

or freeze in freezer bags straight away and go from there

ive heard bad reviews about freezing bud but is that not if you plan to keep the trichomes on the actual bud.

Also no need need to cure if you are primarily harvesting trichomes

i would imagine dry isnt necessary either since it will freeze dry or maybe its best to dry and freeze to make it easier when seperating the trichomes

i wont be processing the hash straight away im going to buy a press but wont be able to until October as i have numerous other financial expenses next month and press is not the priority that and the bid can absolutely sit for a month.

that said id rather not have to biy a whole load of mew jars for curing aswell as i currently have jars full of bud.

plus i need to invest in an ice bath machine which look pretty good for separating the trichomes from the bud

so im thinking i can get away with buying some freezer bags and go straight to freezer storage directly after the bud has been dried and sit in the freezer for a month without any problems or degradation to.the trichomes?

Just dry it, and make some bubble hash when you get your bags. It is not fresh anymore after being frozen and thawed

Freezer (that's where mine is), works great for making bubble hash.

If you want to make dry ice/sift hash, then you'll need to dry it (which you can do with dry ice).

Fresh frozen in vac bags made from a roll.
Vac out air but don’t compress, then seal.

Freeze nice and cold. Then get a rubber mallet and tap the flowers nugs in the bag to make them explode in the bag.

Buy a cheap plastic camping washing machine for your ice wash agitator.
Pour the powder into the ice bath then 2 or 3 - 15 minute wash cycles and dump through a 220 and 45 collector bag and you are done.

correction - Put the frozen powdered flower into a 220 micron zipped wash bag and then into the ice bath.
Get yourself a few of the 220 zip bags and a few 45 bags to make it easier with large runs.
