Turned in by an anonymous tip too. Good lesson, keep your mouth shut.

I'd say he was a little over the limit.

They were probably hippies back in the wild days of the 1960's and they were having a very long senior moment and forgot it's 2011

I don't know fucking retards. Alcohol is the step up drug. Alcohol and ciggarettes go hand and hand. You don't see a person put a doobie down and be like I need a line if coke. It's super familiar with booze.

Sadly the only people that understand this are either potheads or cokeheads... not the alcoholics that run the country

That's evident from the last 3 presidents. Before them they were full blown alkys. I think fdr drank a 5th of scotch a day!!

I agree what the hell was with that cop... "Step-up drug?"

Even the neighbors support the couple. Although I'm not sure what a 'doper all the time' would be. Probably me.

It was still illegal to grow in the 60's.

If you grew up in the sixties you would know you could walk around smoking a joint, or grow it your self pretty much. It was illegal, but the heat from the police was NOTHING compared to what it is today.

what the hell were they thinking with the medical laws now?

whoever said this is an idiot "There's a safety concern, because anyone who's ever worked in the narcotics business knows that marijuana itself is a step-up drug."

step up drug? what about cigarettes and alcohol which are federally legal? more people i know started off with them before pot. hell i know some people that started abusing prescription pills before they got into pot. imo theres no such thing as a step up drug.

I'm so glad those violent 60 year old drug lord/terrorist supporting criminals have been incarcerated. Now they can take advantage of the wonderful healthcare plan available to all inmates. The cost of housing, feeding and providing healthcare for two elderly people in prison is a non-issue compared to the political point that is being made.

Whatever that point may be....

It has been proven in studies that a person who smokes only cigarettes is FAR more likely to try Cocaine or Heroin... compared to the 'Marijuana' users... marijuana users are far less likely to try 'hard drugs' compared to cigarette smokers who are more statistically inclined.

It's too bad it has to be like this. The "step-up drug" comment also caught my attention & bothered me. The media makes marijuana out to be dangerous. It's a wonderful medicinal & bonding experience that brings people together. What harm do stoners do? Laugh with friends and get the munchies? Sit on the couch & enjoy some music? On the other hand, how often do you see people who are intoxicated with alcohol start a fight, hurt themselves, etc. I'm not saying that alcohol should be illegal, but it's obviously more dangerous than marijuana.
