When the say 350 watts of led will match a 1000 w they are talking in terms of usable light. Not coverage or yield. If you match in terms of yield 550 watts - 600 watts of led will match the yield and coverage of a 1000w

Yes led uses half the watts. It has targeted wave lengths and 80% - 90% usable light. Hid is not targeting specific wave lengths and has mostly wasted light. Hid has about 10% usable light and lights up a room more than it does anything for a plant. Eventullay everything will switch over to led and induction. In china amd japan they got rid of hps street lights and run retro fit induction bulbs now that are less than half the watts of hid. W

All leds have lenses now. Unless you built it yourself. Most use the 2x


Tis seems like its turning into a led vs hid debate. When all he is doing is experimenting with a free led. Any hid rules of growing or light placement are irrelevant. Apples and dragon fruit

Day 11 from seed. Plants are roughly 4.5 inches now. As you can clearly see the calamg issue has been corrected, yes I said calmag. Not to sound like a know it all or anything but I have popped thousands of seeds in those jiffy pellets and I know for a fact there isn't enough in there to burn the leaves, I'll leave it at that. On a side note, I can't say that I've seen nicer looking plants 11 days from germination. I'm impressed so far.

19 days in from seed, these plants are looking very nice, the internode spacing is insanely tight. There is no stretch at all with this light and the plants as you can see are extremely bushy with lots of bud sites developing. I fed today along with calmag+, I am feeding them all nutes at the full rate for veg growth as suggested by the manufacturer.

Throw up some clippy lights or something when you take pics. So.we can see them more clearly.

Yeah I was thinking about taking them out into some regular light, that led spectrum makes for some trippy pictures. I can tell you that the plants are incredibly lush and green, and that I am digging this light! I can't see any issues with a 4x4 coverage what so ever. I'm planning on vegging until I fill the 4x4 area with solid lolipopped canopy. If I pull a pound off of this light I will be blown away, I'm setting the bar pretty low but I'm also fully prepared to be amazed should that happen. Keep a positive outlook as my mother always said!

Here are the ladies with the funky lights off. I was surprised to see no signs what so ever of nute burn this morning after more than doubling the concentration.

21 days from seed, average 8 inches tall. Plants are super green and lush, very dense plants.

25 days from seed germination, these plants look fucking incredible! The average height is around 12", plants are very lush green and very dense foliage.

26 days from germination, plants are looking awesome. Bumped into a buddy last night growing the same strain from clone under 1000 waters. He's dropping by tomorrow with one of his ladies that was grow from clone and is 5 days behind mine from seed. should be interesting as he is a pretty good grower and i'd be interested in seeing the differences in the two plants. I'll post pictures of them side by side.

those internode spacings is tight dawg

Just going back to the debate about wpsf, light spacings etc... Hid 50wpsf, normal led 30wpsf, but this light he using supposed to be some new ducks nuts, company touting it as having much more par for far less watt pull compared with other top of the line led systems, someone said at the height he using its only 20wpsf. Wpsf diagnosis will be correct assuming you are talking about the same par. And then there is a point when too much par will be detrimental like when you bring the led too close. Does anyone know what the actual par of this light is or greenguy can u measure it for us? Perhaps if they've got this one just right it might cover the 4x4 area adequately through flower. Green guy, You said it more than adequately covers the 4x4 area at the veg height you have it at, how close from canopy can you lower it and still get the full area coverage?
I am very interested in this or any other led light that can properly cover a 4x4 area for all stages with minimum watt pull. Looking to make the switch soon...

It's pretty much silent.

I use the magnum not the plus and love it, first thing I noticed was the spacing was super tight compared to my 400 watt. I am at day 30 ish and they are 10 inches but super bushy ! Mine is a little noisy I just ordered new fans for it, they are cheap ones I got good ball bearing ones. Good luck ! I will be keeping an eye on this one !

Been quite on the edge between magnums and solar storms for some time..

Buddy showed up last night with his THCsnow from clone that is 5 days behind mine, the plant on the right in the pics is mine (it is the plant from the bottom right in my pictures).

Day 27 from germination, fed again today. Upped the ppm and calmag+ again.

Damn. What kindve environmental conditions is his under? LED, hydro, etc

EDIT: I was a bit rushed earlier, obviously not hydro; but what is he running for lighting??

He is running thousand watters in promix (same as me for medium). It's kinda crazy, I mean sure the pheno is different but Jesus the leaves are so much broader and the plants are so different it's crazy. I'm thinking that this is kind of a pandora's box situation. what needs to happen is I take one of these plants and clone it down x8 and run a side by side led and mh/hps so we can see what is up??? input???
