first thing is ofcourse the internode spacing will be shorter and the plants will be bushier with the LED's the blue spectrum does that not just the LED..

second I love this side by side test.. and the lower intensity of the LED didn't support the nute levels with bushmaster..

still a good test.. the LED buds look so much stickier.. but the HPS makes a nice big thick fat bud..

Awesome grow man!...... i have read all the LED grows i can find, EVERYWHERE and all the back and forth love/hate.... im extremely intrested in these lil faukers, and i enjoyed the consistancy of your journal and abundace of true side by side comparison.

That being said, i would also like to thank everyone else who has "pulled up a chair" and followed along for not bringing all the WHOOPAA to this journal..... for letting cali and his work speak for itself.... good show gents...

And with that being said i would like to know why in all the debate/ hate against LED's ...........

LED lights were to say.... grow a bud that was more fragrant, stickier, more colorful possibly more potent but if not at least a better smell/taste/look... even at the sacrifice of 2/3 less buds .... HARVEST WEIGHT UPDATE!

the LED results are in. 120 grams DRY and TRIMMED....tightly i might add. the HPS results will follow. they are just about perfectly dry, then i will trim em up and post it up for yall.

the quality of this stuff is AMAZING! much more pungent smelling. visually its a much higher grade than the HPS nugs. resin caked all over, nice purple nugs, major bag appeal. its too bad i went and fucked things up with the BushMaster.

smoke report........very good, hehe. ive been smoking this shit for years. its much more flavorful than the buds i grow under the 1000w HPS. i can only take 2 puffs. this shit makes me stupid, hehe. enough chatter though. on with some pics.......

120 grams for 6 plants..... thats about 3/4 ounce per plants and .2 grams per watt

very very low performance. are you sure it was all bushmaster or is the lumigrow es all hype? i mean dang i can get no-name 300 watt with 660nm reds and 460 blues for like $500. It might not have all the bells and whistles but it works. So for the $3g in 600 watts lumigrow lights that could be 1800 watts of LED with 6 different light sources.

I think you are being sponsored by this company or something so you may not be able to say certain things but good grow nonetheless.

There is a huge difference my friend...

You would have to own one to realize this.

Awesome job there Cali with this side by side. I'd + rep you again but I must spread the love first. I love to see studies that are a bit more scientific in their approach so I really enjoyed this. Just wish I was there to actually see and taste the difference.

Awesome job CaliBuddz! Thanks for following this through to the bitter end. Still It seems pretty low yield. I remember your last test, with just one light, had almost exactly the same yield? I remember something about 100 grams. That would really show that plants got hammered pretty badly by the Bushmaster. Besides, I have never heard of LED grown plants harveting SOONER than the HPS side. Something was definitely wrong....

Frankly, if you were working for LumiGrow, I am thinking that you never would have run this test to the end and put out less than stellar results.

i even went so far as to read this same journal on every site i could.... and read every different communities love and moreover the HATE towards cali and the stupid acusations... CHILDISH! which was what LED me to make an account here and finally put my 2 cents in.....

i wasn't trying to spread hate..its just not that many people are dropping the cash on lumigrow lights but I've heard of a few cases of manufacturers giving away lights for grow tests. didn't mean to start an argument in here! mad props the grow like ive said a few times!

yo cali whats the haps on the hps nugs? =) Also - I dont really think you have any ill intent. I know growers that test different nutes at a cost to them with a....large room with lots of lights lol. They say Advanced Nutes is hands down the best every time. And they dont work for em, but they do sell AN, along with everything else in their store (they also own a dispensary, hence, all the grow).

However - If you got a light for review purposes its cool to disclose it. Actually you legally have to now according to the FCC, even on a forum lol. Shit I might contact them about getting a light for public review purposes lol. I don't see anything wrong with that, the net could use alot more FINISHED LED vs HPS comparison grows.
