Looking good mang! How bad is the AK-47 stinking up the place?
A pretty good fricken amount I can tell you that right now. I do have one of those air blockers in there that are used for plants and stuff and it seems to do a pretty well massing the smell. It makes it a fruity smell instead the the skunky smell. But the two ladies are producing a lot of stink so I am going to order another one on amazon.com, the one I bought was 6oz's and only about 6 dollars to buy in general so its not like I'm dumping a lot of money into ordor control at this point. If I leave my door open to the room where the closet is those the smell does eventually lingers throughout the house. There is no way I am buying a carbon filter at the moment though when they go for about 60 dollars. I like going the cheaper alternative way lol

I've seen a couple diy carbon filters, all you gotta do is get the activated carbon at a fish store and suspend it along your exhaust line. One way I saw was to pin it between coffee filters between two grated penholders one inside if the other
What's the air blocker you're talkin about?
:peace:

I will probably eventually get a carbon filter but since its the end of my grow already pretty much and I am in the week of finals at college at them moment. I have summer vacation in about 11 days so I will make it just home in time in order to harvest them myself instead of my partner because he really doesn't know how to do the curing process at all. I have looked at the other threads about carbon filers on here and watched a couple YouTubes I just don't have the time right now in my life to fuck around with that lol. Soon enough though.

The air blocker that I have is called Ona Block. Here is the link if you want to go check it out. They're only about 6 bucks so its a good cheap way to do it. They're also plant friendly so you can put the blocker right in your closet like I did. I am just going to buy a couple others for right now. http://www.amazon.com/Ona-Fresh-Linen-Block/dp/B000FNANC2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1303747965&sr=8-1

shits looking lovely bro keep it up
Thanks I appreciate it a lot. I feel like Ive done so much work in order to grow these ladies but realisticly I really haven't even done much at all everything is just Automatic for me. The lights and everything so its pretty self sustained at all times, besides watering of course. But from lights to nutrients it is all automatic....LOOK MAMA NO HANDS lol

you miggy it looks like you have 2 dif spectrum bulbs, it also looks like the one on the left has been under the 2700k the whole time and the one on the right a 6500k. do you ever move these two plants or the bulbs around- its seems like the one under the 2700k is getting all the love and your leaving the other to just finish with no love....

they both are looking lovely either way, keep it up!!!

Yea they're both different spectrum's I didn't have enough budget at the time in order to buy 4 bulbs so I used the money I could to get x2 85 watt CFL's one daylight and one for flowering. Since they're both flowering I should have x2 flowering bulbs but the light from the other even though it's not the correct spectrum will still help it's growth. I do rotate the plants every single day about 3-4 times a day and swap them if I am with my ladies personally. My partner rotates the pots and switches them as well but probably only twice a day. For my next grow I will be adding more CFL's though and will have enough of them to swap in and out. But a mix of spectrum wont hurt them. It's funny because I never did really say anything about rotating them and no one even asked before until you. + rep

Day 58: So I just got home for easter weekend and decided to do a little photo shoot of the 2 little pretty ladies. Before I show them though I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it would be safe for me to cut some of the fan leaves off of the #2 plant (one not flowering as much at the moment) so I can try and get light to all the other bud spots because from the looks of it this plant even has more potential than the #1 plant with the huge cola on it right now? If I were able to cut away some of the leafs on the #2 plant I could get the light to the buds under them so they will bud bigger, just really want to know if this would be a problem or not since it's already flowering. Besides that it looks like that #1 is going to be right on time when it comes to the 70-75 day range considering it's day 58 and that cola is fat as shit on the top I want to say at least a 6-7grams lol. Enjoy and smoke on!:eyesmoke:bongsmilieView attachment 1564414View attachment 1564415View attachment 1564416View attachment 1564417View attachment 1564418View attachment 1564419

Yea I think the AK genetic made it branch out and they both are the height that attitude seeds said they would be (around 19inches) Thanks for all the support through the way its starting to get towards the end. It kinda makes me said my girls are all "grown" up ='(

yo just read this again, don't be afraid to trim your plant, the more light you get to the bottom the more bud you get at the bottom. When the fan leaf gets taken away yea it doesn't photosynthesise, but the resources that would've gone to that leaf growing and transporting nutrients goes to making more leafs wherever there is the highest response to light, like say lower buds (as well as top). More light intake will cause more of the plants resources to be pulled toward the exposed area, spurring growth. And at each node starts a new cola and calyxes! at each leaf pair's respective node - If you cut off all the fan leaves and have none, you're bud will get leafier because a large amount of energy goes to growing leaves specifically over swelling the calyxes to replace the photosynthesis deficit
But with only a few off, nutrients energy and hormones are redistributed without interruption (instead help) to bud production.

oh, and there's always tuck/bend technique where you tuck fan leaves behind adjacent colas, but that shades the stem and can make the fan leaf less effective

sorry im ripped and kind of still on aderall, or however you spell it, from an exam

:bigjoint: keep us posted!

Thanks for all the helpful information I really appreciate it. I am actually doing the tuck method right now because I thought that wouldn't hurt my ladies. I just tucked them so the bud sites were shown. Both of my ladies are bushing out too so they usually run into each other a little bit. In my next grow I will be putting lights on the sides so it will be a lot beneficial. I will probably just LST next time I grow as well. I just wasn't comfortable with doing it because I didnt exactly understand it since its my first time growing. But I think I have been doing a pretty good job lol. I am happy you have stopped by. I should have pictures probably next weekend. I am actually moving back for the summer starting next friday so I will be with my ladies 24/7 again =D. That will be chop day probably

yea don't be afraid too, and also don't rush your harvest date! important rule, wait until you think they're ready to pull and then wait one day, put it in the dark and then pull.
can't wait to see how it turns out!
hey check out my new video on my journal, made my first clone box!

Day 21: I slacked a little bit today...thought I was going to get these pictures out a lot sooner. Ended up at a lady friends house for a long while smoking and drinking. Bare with me if this even makes sense right now because I probably wont remember this post tomorrow lmao..From my drunken state of mind it looked like there is a big start of growth underneath both of my ladies. Once again the defect on #2 is considerably noticeable now. However the next set look like they are developing just fine. As for #1 she looks amazing is on course for another set very soon. Honestly i dont even know what else to describe from the pictures I took tonight considering my BAC is at .22 at the moment. So enough drunk talk heres the ladies.View attachment 1498565View attachment 1498563View attachment 1498564View attachment 1498562View attachment 1498561View attachment 1498560
I am loving the grow, since I am growing lowryder #2 also it is nice to see what I will get. Day 21 for you in this post, and day 21 for myself, I think my plants are a bit ahead of yours though. Take a look.
