Hey peeps, Sorry I haven't updated in awhile(for those that care). In an earlier post I had said that I was pretty positive that I had 2 males and 2 females and 2 unknown. Well..it turns out that I was right about the 4, and the unknowns I ended up with 1 of each, so 3 and 3. Does anyone have a previous LR2 journal that they could look at and tell me about how long before the males pollen sacks open? I like to know a little ahead of time so my fan doesn't blow the pollen everywhere, because of obvious reasons but also because I'd like to save some of the pollen. Well that's about it for now, I'll post some pics tomorrow and thanks for looking and any advice or comments.

Hello everyone. I took some pics yesterday and didn't get a chance to post 'em...sorry. Here they are though, yesterday was day 28 from them sprouting. I chopped the 3 males and collected some pollen from each of them. As you can see the 2 females in the soil are still doing well (except for the couple leaves that got burned from one of the lights that moved), the one in the DWC is still not doing too well. She hasn't gotten any worse, but the growth is still slow. I pollinated a bud on each of the 2 in the soil using a very small paint brush, and with a little over four weeks left hopefully that will be enough time for the seeds to mature. Thanks for looking...and as always, suggestions and comments are encouraged.

damn homie. not bad at all. where can i get some lowryder seeds at. idk where im in cali lol!
ThanksBC...I ordered mine online awhile ago and I don't know if they still ship to US. You should search which companies will. I heard that if you see the US flag on the page, they'll ship to you(even if they say they don't). If you do get your hands on some I suggest you pollinate so you won't have to order seeds.

Is this from bagseed? If so you don't really need the seeds unless it's from decent bud. If you don't want the seeds I suggest snipping the pollen sacks off before they open, that might help with the bud production since they won't have to spend so much energy and nutrients on making seeds. That's just my opinion, There are probably others that could give more advice on that. And lastly, if this is your first grow I think any bud is a reward...

ya true. how should i cut these fucks off? the ball sacks i mean lmao!
I'm not sure, have they already opened? If not then you just have to snip 'em with scissors I guess. Maybe you should start a post about it and see what responses you get.

Maybe you should name it something that will get everyone's attention...like Should I cut the balls off my Hermaphradite, if so how? That's gotta draw attention.

Hello everyone...Update fo ya...
Well I've pretty much been reduced to 2 females now...the one in the DWC has just about passed on. I don't think I had enough air getting to the roots or something because I got a huge mass of a slimy jello like mass on the roots, I'm talking one big mass. I tried to clear the roots by running them under water and gently pulling it off, and since my wife won't let me spend any more money, and I didn't want to put the plant in tap water I just planted it in soil a few days ago and it doesn't look good. It's day 39 though, and the other 2 are still holding up strong. I'm giving half nutes right now, and of the half, half grow and half bloom. I have added a couple more 23 watt 2700K's, so now I'm at 10 of those (which put out 1600 Lumens each), 2 26 watt 6500's (which I believe put out 1600 each), and 2 85 watt 2700K's that put out 4250 each for a total of 27700 lumens. One plant is a little over 5 inches tall, and the other is a little over 6. Oh yeah I also switched them to 16/8 as of yesterday...which is the lowest you want to go without lowering the yield (per the joint doctor). As always questions, comments, and suggestions always welcome.

Just read the whole thread. Kind of makes the case for soil being more forgiving with new growers. Thanks for the thread and good luck. Keep posting and I will keep following. How big are your pots?

Yeah, way more forgiving...I have 2 kids, so it's hard for me to be able to spend time on them(plants) so I think soil is for me right now but maybe in the future I'll give it another try. My pots are 10 inch pots, and when I transplanted I changed to the schultz cactus mix soil since it doesn't really have any nutrients(added anyway). I heard that LR's don't like very many nutrients, so I figured that would be best, then I can control how much they get. Thanks for looking at the post.
