Does anyone else have any guesses on the dry weight of the cola in the pics above? I should have a scale within the next few days to let everyone know.

post your lightning schedule(also what lights; light distance), nutriens schedule(incl. Strenght of the nutes), the avarage temperatures (day and night), your soil PH, the wind speed, the soil temperature and the air humidity.i will calculate everything and PM you with the calculation of the dry weight :D just joking man :D Peace!!! 3.5 to 4, is that's your guess for the cola right? I should have everyone guess just from the pics. Yep 3 out of 4...I still have the other one germinating just in case... Thanks for the tips on drying, how do you wire it so you can plug in computer fans?

you can use any 9 volt adapter, i use one from an old answering machine.... both fans are connected to it.

Well I weighed the cola I cut off of the first plant, and the total was...4.8grams dry. I also tried some on saturday and it was awesome. Smooth taste, flushed just enough I think. I cut it at the perfect time to give more of a sativa high. I shared some with a couple of my buddies and they loved it. I also got 9 seeds from it, and I didn't even pollinate that part of the plant. Just goes to show how easy pollen spreads.

thanks heaps for documenting this epic adventure, i just read it from the beginning! i'm very interested in LR and this thread has given me something more to look forward to once i get my room situated. i got a couple questions if you don't mind.
what kind of ventilation did you have in the room? is this why you were using those lights instead of a HPS, to cut down the heat factor? I have been planning on using a pretty hot light, but ventilation and cooling are a big problem that i don't want to address. I was dreaming of huge yields and a state of the art aeroponic system, but i don't need that(just yet)- or have the space to facilitate it. Judging from your pics my room will be very similar in size to yours. are you going to try the dwc (is it a bubbleponic system) for your next generation or are you going to stick with soil?

i think thats probably enough for now, since we're just getting to know each other, ha.

off to check out zoidbergs threads.

thanks for everything, cant wait to see how much your yield is!

Thanks for the kind words. Ventilation is a problem for me also, so yes that is why I went with CFL's. I know HPS gives a better yield, but there was no way I could run ducting. All I had was 2 fans in there, 1 to move the air, and 1 to blow air into the closet. I would usually open a window and put the fan in the doorway of the closet to keep a constant supply of fresh cool air/CO2. I think I read somewhere that the hotter your temps, the more CO2 you need for the plants. I did try the DWC system, and I didn't do so well with it. I think for now I'm going to stick with soil, less room for error (for me anyway). Thanks for looking.
