i'm flowering with 3 150s hps. i have them really close. when i do the all out main chopping there should be lots. i have about an ounce dried so far in a plastic container curing right now. but my lighting sucks. you obviously idnt see the ac temp gauge. i live in 94 degrees all day. when the big plants go off for the 12 hours i use the lights for 12 hours on the lowryders. i need as much as possibe. when i'm done i'm switching to led or cutting back alot. i'm looking at luxeon k2 leds. check them out. they come in every colour spectrum and put out next to nothing in the way of heat. but they are expensive. but my bulbs now are also expensive. i change bulbs after every grow. its like 250 dollars for all of them. The leds last at least 5 times as long. i can build a 600 watt led panel thats about 70000 lumens of 3000k lighting for around 400 dollars. thats the way i want to go. i wanted to do alot of things. lol but summer here is insane hot and heat is my only option for real improvment. ther is no way i can get a 1000 in here even cooled. i have to do something. and it has to be somewhat stealth. sort of. lol. either way when these are done i have some crazy work to do redoing this setup. i might even use the 3 150s again if i could seel the cabinet and vent outside. ony prob is my window is right on the street and i wod have to find some way to conceal the piping. i was thinking of using an old airconditioner and removing the front inside and venting through the mesh on the back. it would just look like an air conditioner that way. but have to do something. who know what my room will get to when its a hundred outside. dont even want to think about it. lol done my novel? lol

Stuff looks good 1982, plant look pretty healthy. roll I'll get some pics of my light. This is the one I have in my veg/mother box. I do home remodeling and get some good stuff from work. I started with a 3 bulb bathroom fixture. We do siding so I have access to a brake and sheet alum. That is what I made the reflector from. Then painted it metallic silver. I'll get some fresh pics of the other one.

that is a nice setup. it looks store bought even. and it looks safe. if i could just vent outside i'd be set. but i cant get any sheet metal. and prices keep going up. maybe if i asked for a scrap piece they might have1. but it looks sweet. they have amazing 1000 cfm inline fans at the hydro store but they sre expensive. i might fully seel the cab and use 1 though. home made is always cool. and i dont have to spend any of this paycheck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol. or the next for awhile!!! yeh!! lol

Thanks 1982, I do carpentry, plumbing and electrical for a living. 20+ years now. So at least I have experience in that so that helps to keep everything a little safer. Look for places they are working on houses and ask the guy's what they might have that they are throwing away. I like building my own stuff, It's part of the fun of growing to me. It helps to have all the right tools too. You probably don't need a 1000 cfm fan do you? That seems like a lot. Here is the one I have my 400 in. A friend gave me the sheet stainless steel. So I cut and bent it to make the shape. Later on I added the big flat piece to help hold it up and have a place to hang the glass. I made that from a metal shelf I took out of a metal cabinet that I found on the side of the road that someone was throwing away. You can see it hangs from the light by the white wires. The glass gets pretty hot but I can touch it and not get burned. And I only have 130 cfm of exaust. But it does go out of the room. You can make a fan with a toilet flange, that is the piece that mounts to the floor. A 120 mm fan will bolt to some of them with no drilling at all. Just bolt it together and use any cfm fan you want.

i dont know what i was thinking. why get complicated. what you have is exactly what i made only done right. lol. i was up for 2 days straight and had to make mine in 10 minutes. but the glass i can get is nice. a guy has a bunch of 1.5x3 foot pieces 1/4 in thick. and then i'll use a small inline fan. dont know what i was thinking. going to build the near same thing. check back a couple pages. lol

I can't see yours in the pics. Maybe you could get some better ones? Those are nice size glass. You could make a reflector for 2 bulbs with those. Make a duel 400 digital for hps or mh. And bridge that large get between the 600 and 1000w. Set it up in a 3x5 foot space maybe.

mine has to stay in the cabinet. i live in here. lol. i'm going to get that glass for sure. its tempered. i'm only building this to save money. if i buy the new 400s i can get the cooltubes for 40 bucks. but i dont want to spend more than literally 50 bucks. the little amounts here and there add up for me. i want a permanent setup that requires no work at all. i might seperate the ballast from the fixtures though and make my own reflector. 3 150s is perfect for a short 2x4 space. i got work to do. lol

thats what i'm thinking. plus if i sold them i wouldnt get that much for them. and if i bought the 400 i wouldnt even be using them. they are ugly but produce nice buds. and theyre paid for. lol i know they could have handled another 3 plants on top of what i grew. when i buy a house i'm going to build a room like yours. i have my eye on a house. but prices here could actually fall more. lol good for me at least. i'm looking at a 3 bedroom 2 bath with garage and unfunished basement for 39000 canadian. it needs some work but is livable. 250 a month mortgage. lol

Those are deff some really nice plants from 3 150's..Now the leds sound even better...no dam heat.
And yea the air conditioner idea sounds good, real stealthy. Hell sounds like u might need an a/c unit to bring in some cold air when its over ahundred outside...

Thats fckin awsome, hashlover, i would say that totally custom...i love it. I agree building everything and making it all work, is deff half the fun... you want to do your best custom work for your girls, that you can...
Nice job bending up that reflector and putting the vent on and everything... so is the fan actually right on the reflector or is it outside the room?

i want to turn the ac on but the power blows the circuit breaker. and i want as much power to the lights as possible. so no ac for me. sucks. lol

Thanks roll, I thought it came out pretty good too. The fans are outside the room, 2 130 cfm computer fans in line but not together. So I'm not getting 260 cfm, just trying to boost the power some and have 2 fans going in case one fails. I'll try to remember to get some fan pics. I like the computer fans, I use them as much as I can. They seem to last and can be very quite. The 130's are not to quite thuogh, but enough. You can't hear them up in the attic. I'm going to need a/c this summer for sure. But sinse I have 40 amps of service to my grow room, no worries there. I added a seperate subpanel to power my grow stuff.

Hey amc, you should be able to get 5-10% of some really good hash. And then some more that is not as good. But you can then take the not so good stuff and make it much better with an alcohol extraction. It works really good. Makes a killer smoke. I have been using not so good buds, but only buds. And got about 5% dry hash and about the same from the scraps. If you have a microscope of any kind it would help you very much. It helps to be able to look at it to see what you have. A lot of THC can get left behind if you cant see it. But there is really a lot to it, I could sit for hours and talk about hashmaking. Hash can also be kind of a general term of sorts. In different countrys or regions hash can be made different ways. And don't throw away your scrap weed, dry it. But do it quick because it can mold pretty fast. It will probably still get you high, just not as much. Could be a good "daytime smoke" as I like to call it.

I did a lot of reading. And a lot of sampling. I was lucky to have a couple of good friends to help me test it. I started a thread and posted my ice water method. Maybe I could drive down and we could make a video to post to show the guy's. We'll have to get some bikini girls to be in it too. SayWord and I get to bullshiting a bit but we do get back on topic.
