Appearance of 'Poinsett' cucumber plants grown for 14 days in a growth chamber under six 400 W metal halide (MH) lamps and under a single 1000 W microwave powered sulphur plasma lamp (MPS).
Note space between MH grown plants and the absence of space between MPS grown plants and the fact that pot labels are still visible among the MH grown plants but not the MPS grown plants.

Not sure if it's true or not, but i read somewhere on this site that you can get just under 1oz dried from a LR2 plant on average.

you can get an ounce for sure outta a lowryder2 plant. amc did it easily. got a little over. many people get over an ounce off 1 plant. a few of mine look like they could get an ounce or more off them. well see. keep checking in and post some pics if you want. seeya.

been looking for hours into nthese lights. they are great but expensive. there are many people growing with them. they get crazy hot but are all air cooled anyways so it doesnt matter. you dont get a choice. lol.

hey man. look back like 5 -10 pages or so. amc just chopped an ak47 lowryder down that got over an ounce. and it was in soil. def possible in hydro. mine seem like they may get 1 each and maybe over on the 2 big 1s. but thats just hoping. we'll know more accurately in 2 weeks. theyre on day 45 i think. but wont be done in 60.

All of the ak is officially gone, except the quarter ounce cola off my most mature plant, Im curing it untill 4/20 and then rolling it up in a blunt!!! Im sure I already mentioned, but the smoke is good, its a lifter on the first hit!!! I highly reccomend this one to anybody.

yes thanks roll420, it is bagseed. its only like my second attempt at growing, so i know its not the best. i havent checked ph or ppms like i know i should, or flushed the res etc. i'm going to be more careful with the purchased seeds. i have some lowryders growing now and more seeds on the way - northern lights #5 x haze, brainstorm and white russian. i had been using an aeroponic garden system with cfls and a 150 watt hps, but i've upgraded system, got a drip system on the way and also a 400 watt hps with aircooled capabilties.

1982 you said hempstar is the same as northern lights #5 x haze? Thats good news. Oh and the bagseed plants are starting to get amber, i guess you can't see. i'll try not to "test" too many buds, but its gonna be hard, haven't smoked any good weed since last summer.

i need to go the cooled route shortly. cant live like this anymore. i might just get the 1000 and call it a day. nice and cheap. maybe later i could try some of the more experimental lighting. wannabee your 400 when you get it will be great. I'm maybe going to harvest mine next week. if theyre amber than your good to go. let us know.

yes, that helps alot 1982, thanks. they definitely will be done soon and i'll take pics. have to make room for the plants from the good beans. i checked out some of the info on the lights hash lover posted, they seem nice but expensive and since i already have the 400 watt hps on the way, i'll have to set that up with the exhaust fans and vents in the grow tent. since i'm not very handy, this should be interesting. i'll be letting you know how that goes too, may have some questions for you on that...

just pot my lowryder blueryder under a 250 mh today. for those of you that have grown them when is teh best to put under a 400 watt hps? (they are jsut litle seedlings now so 400 i think is way t ostrong to start with)

I've always wanted to give Ak-47 a go ever since i watched the videos with Mr.Green or whatever his name is. Those videos are what made me want to grow haha i studied them more than school books. Then found this site and it's just insane how much information you can get from here, Thousands of growers around the world with years of experience. I can't wait for 420, im sure the rest of you agree.

You deff need to get ph and ppm meters when you get those good seeds goin. post some pics of you new setup when you get it setup..

anyone know an inexpensive way to get rid of fruit gnats, without using sand

cant believe this... i just checked my two week old lowryder 2 plant and it already has hairs growing near the nodes. i thought this was kind of amazing but maybe i'm just a newb growing, what does anyone else think. the plant seems to be doing well, except for yellow spots in the middle of some leaves, any thoughts on that? i'm going to check ppm now

my ppm read 210, gonna take photos now

here's the lr2 with the hairs growing already. my camera doesn't do too well with closeups. getting a new charger for my other camera, which will hopefully be better. what do you think?

I was going to say post some pics of the yellow.

chances are the yellow spots are a mag defficiency. it happened to me. my ph was too high. and glad you see hairs early. ive been reading alot of lowryder 2 threads and many people in the last month got a bad batch of seeds. they arent flowering for 45 days. id be mad for sure. lol. thats good then. i decided to by a jewelers loupe today to check the trichs. went to radio shack and was going to get 1 but then thought how cool these are so got 1. my trichs are still mostly clear. which means my bud should only get much stronger. and its fine now. and i chopped 30 more wet grams.
