Looking for equipment for sale

Yes I have had my patient card for a few months now and have built a room 12'x14' sealed and insulated it. I had someone who was supposed to supply the lights ect.. but they ended up not helping me. I figured I would post on here first and see what i can get from local Rhode Islanders!!!!

Im sure there are things out there that are used and still good ... but I wouldn't buy used ballast , lights , or electronic items . To be honest , come to think about it - there really isnt a whole lot I would personally trust as used in this game ... but thats just subject to opinion . If your legal just buy your needs from real dealers and get a warranty .....

I know that growers edge in East Prov. is selling used gear, the only thing i would not buy used is a bulb, if someone has a ballast that they used for 2 years there is still plenty of life left in it. A ballast is not something that is normally abused like a I-pod or some other electronics, and a hood..... even if its 10 years old if the glass lens is not broke the hood should perform just as it did the day it was taken out of the box. .

Had some success myself with 2 hoods and ballasts from CL. I agree with MM on the bulbs, always purchase new.

Ya I know I am better off buying all new stuff but money is a little short. I have 2 175 mh that where backup lights for my salt water fish tank that I can use for veg. I have a large room so I am gonna need some 1000 watt with a mover or something. I have found a light from a website i found through this site that is 180.00 but they have bat wings instead of a enclosed with a vent attachment.

Or you can buy new supplies. It is not that expensive. Buying used is just asking for problems.
I would ask myself when buying something used, "Why are they selling it, what's wrong with it?"
I mean, HTG has 1000 watt lights for like $230. New!

if money is tight mother nature on post road in warwick is running a sale on 1000 watt light(vented) ballast and bulb for $299.00.the fixture is a sunspot 6,the ballast is a no name brand and the bulb is a eiko.remember you get what you pay for.

The smithfield store is great for used stuff they do consinment. The whole setup ballast huge hood and bulb for a one k is like 500 so i know how ya feel. Goof luck

i say do not let peoples 'advice' change your views/state of mind.. i bought plenty of used gear for GREAT! prices.. i just thorougly test/scan the items visually, test it against its will to see if it stands up and performs how its suppose to.. and im always on point.. i ask questions and try to catch a person in a lie.. and yes i low ball people for the simple fact that worst case scenario all i get is a no.. not everybody is looking for top dollar

just scored again tonight.. got a 90w ufo LED for $60 which retails for $150.. MINT CONDITION used.. works 100%..

FUCK RETAIL!! used gear is priced better and works just as good if not better..

I know someone that loves that thing for small plants

Ya I couldnt wait anymore so I broke down and bought a Virtual Sun VS1000MS Magnetic Ballast 1000 Watt Grow Light - HPS / MH Combo and it comes with both bulbs for 289.00. I have 2 175 watt MH that I was using as a backup to my fish tank. So now I have to try and get some clones or wait until I have the cash to buy some seeds offline!

Their great for prices and the used stuff works. Just the knowledge is ify. I swear the owner might be compulsive story teller but I can't prove that. They r the cheapest place.I've.been.

I recently added a 2nd. lite instead of a light mover. Its the answer for me -only $235.00 or so, because I like to have an overlapping mix of light hitting that side angle, light does this for me. What I do also is a HPS in one hood and a MH in the 2nd. The trick, for me, is to have the highest amnt of klvn's hitting those fifis. So,the MH bulb is expensive,AGROSUN SUPER RED, but not in the big pix. Some MMgrowers use this bulb for both veg. & bud states. You could also buy a 1000W bulb for app $30.00-$40.00 an up but then replace it real soon.The kelvins get weaker after awhile. The size of my area is also a factor.

Have been running a Virtual Sun 1000w system for a little over a month now and have had no troubles. Running it side by side with my 1k Blockbuster/Phantom/Ushio set up to see how it compares.

Check ebay man. Tons of good stuff from ebay new and cheaper than norm. Also probably find used stuff depending on what you looking for. Best of luck to you. I use Hydro Earth in N Prov for my local shop.

Hoods, ballast when tested i would buy,I dont buy USED bulbs but Hoods and ballast you can get some great deals..

dont use the light mover for flower. maybe your first run u can just start with what fits for your budget. then next run save a little money get some more gear then bam sick set up. absolutly no light mover in flower.
