Lets try this again - T.H. Seeds Burmese Kush ( BUKU) 400w hydro grow from seed

This is my second run at this...the first time ended up with hermerphrodites...so I guess that's what you risk when you get feminized seeds. I'm gonna give it another shot since I love the strain so much.

I just popped a couple of seeds into a paper towel to start germing...once they sprout I will start posting pics as soon as there is something to take a picture of

Pull up a chair..enjoy the show...hopefully these will be lovely LADIES this time

Some generial info below:

Nutrients:

I will be using 5 products from General Hydroponics for vegging and flowering:

• Flora Grow
• Flora Micro
• Flora Bloom
• Floralicious Plus
• Liquid KoolBloom

Light:

• 400w AgroMax HPS( AgroMax lamps are enhanced with 30% added "blue" spectrum )

I'm using top-drip hydro-buckets (the General Hydroponics ones ). I also sort of had to get McGeyver, and I purchased some cheap stackable kitchen shelves to use as a way to do LST / SCROG , but to also keep each bucket moveable, etc. Here is a pic of what i'm talking about. I had to bend the legs in such a way that they 'snap' onto the rim of the bucket It works out really great actually.

Thanks sir. I've found it to work quite well! I like that I can still individually manage the buckets ( rotate them, take them out to drain the reservoirs...etc )

So, already the seeds have cracked and started sprouting little roots!
Rockwool cubes are pre-soaking now

Neat! How long will you wait to put them into the rockwool? And what are your rockwool cubes soaking in?

They will go in when the sprouts are about 1/2" or so...enough for me to make sure they are pointed downwards with authority(tay) when I put them into the cubes

I have them soaking in 1/2 strength "seedling" nutrient mixture recommended by GH:


I won't actually put them into the buckets for another week or so . I want them to get a little growth going or I find that sometimes the top-drip system sprays them with too much water and ends up just soaking the little girls to death as soon as they pop out of the rockwool.

Yup, for sure. I usually use a chopstick or a pencil to gently push the seed down about 1/2" into the little hole in the rockwool cube. Then I use my fingers to gently pinch the edges around the hole to seal it up. 2 or 3 days later...the seedling will emerge. *Hopefully* that will be the case here with these

So this kid handed my girlfriend an old little baggy of seven seeds, of which six look like they would be the viable ones, if any of them are still viable. We do not know how old they are or how they have been stored, but we're trying to germinate them in a damp papertowel in a dark place. Do you think they will sprout?

From what I understand, seeds can still germinate even years later...so as long as they were not from his great grandfather's stash from back in the 1920's...you should have a good chance at at least a good majority of them sprouting Make sure it's not too cold..you want to keep them around 75 degrees or so...I put mine on top of the hot water heater inside of tupperware container.

Cool. They're on the very edge of our python's heat mat, where it's just moderately warm. We'll see what happens! Meanwhile we'll watch for a seedling update here. :]

So, the seeds have sprouted and i've placed them into the rockwool cubes underneath a t-5 lamp. They will remain here for a week or so and I will just keep the cubes moist with regular water as needed. Nothing too exciting to see at this point

I'm subbed. Still waiting for mine to germinate. Not confident for some reason.
