This is crazy especially since My BUKKU seeds popped and were all females. I finshed four and they all was pretty stable. Only one different pheno which was a shorter plant. The taller ones did seem to have a little bit more potency. But I yielded 3 ounces per plant. Im running it again in a scrog with og18 which I also finished with the BUKU.
nice! Congratulations on being one of the few who have had success with the BUKU. I had no problem getting them to pop...and they grew like champs...but hermied. Do you happen to have any pics? I'd also like to see some pics of the OG18 too for comparison.

So, it's been 6 days since I chopped. It's dry enough to smoke-test and share some thoughts  In my opinion if it doesn't smoke & taste good at this point, the curing process ..while necessary for sure...does not magically make it do a dramatic turn around. If it tastes like shit...it's just gonna taste a bit less shitty when the curing is done.

Anyways... its time to share my thoughts on the Albert Walker :weed:

  1. Smell - it's always so hard to describe the smells ...the ladies have such a complex smell that it's hard to sum up...but I would say has a heavy citrus and pine smell. The citrus would be of the sweet mandarine or tangerine variety...not like grapefruits or lemons. Add in a definite smell of skunk and pine and that's about as close as I can get to describing the smell.
  2. Look - the buds are thick and chunky and solid. By far the most "solid" buds i've grown yet . They almost look like little cartoon x-mas trees :-P They are cone-shaped buds that didn't' require much trimming at all. They are coated with a nice layer of tric's and really have a nice color to them. Handling the buds leaves my fingers a bit sticky.
  3. Taste - The smell definitely comes through in the taste and flavor, which is nice. I was also pleasantly surprised by the amount of"expansion" exhibited too..especially at only 6 days off the vine. I was a bit worried that it would smell good, but that it wouldn't translate into the flavor. If you can translate the smell into taste...that's pretty much the flavor ;)
  4. Final Thoughts - I'm really liking the Albert Walker  Not much else to say...if you happen to see any cuts of this and have some room in your grow-space..I recommend it!

I'm loving it bro those are some beautiful buds!!Look here what is the longest you ever let your bud cure? if you have never went past a 30 day cyre then you are kind of missing something, thats just my opinion but i stand by that opinion as well..My blue diesel that i hust pulled from the jar two days ago compared to the jar ive been smoking on since week #2 or so there is no comparison at all the shit is almost totally different then the other..hey it cant hurt put up about an 1/8 or so and forget about it when you finally get back to it you will be amazed!!!

I totally agree! A good cure can go a log ways :) I've still got some BubbleChunk curing in a jar as well as a lot of Black Domina too :) A bad cure can also go a long ways towards ruining your weed too...so that is definitely important to remember. Just don't put your weed into the jars too early..better to err on the side of letting them air dry too long than not long enough. Otherwise your buds end up smelling and tasting like feet.

Def tru and good point thats why i have about 4 steps to my cure proccess and i treat them all with caution not to over dry or under dry and then monitor how much moisture returns to the buds once you put them into the jars this will tell you how much tru moisture you have ...

Sorry to read about your hermie buku's man. But I wouldn't throw out fem buku's just yet. I just grew 8 fem Buku's and they were all chicks, I even opened the door during the dark period like 6 times, 1 was really bad, super bright light in my hand for some reason. I vegged for 3 1/2 weeks, and flowered for 8 1/2. I got 4.7 ounces off the best one (cured) and 2.8 off the worst, but they averaged to 3.8 ounces each. nice couple pounds. From your pic's you didn't look like a new grower, so I can't imagine you overstressing them would be the cause for the herm's. But i have an idea. All 8 of mine were grown in soil, and I've done hydro before with other strains and I just don't like it, in my experience, it only makes an eighth to a half ounce difference, with a whole lot more shit you gotta deal with, I was always spillin reservoirs by bumping em and shit. But I've read a few places that hydro might have an effect on the chances of your plant being a hermy. There's no proof yet, but I've read it from a lot of very experienced growers, and I myself have had more hermys in hydro than soil. I've only had 7 hermies in the hundreds I've grown. and 6 of them were in hydro. I always have some TH Seeds Burmese Kush growin, I love that strain, so don't completely rule them out just yet. Just my thoughts :)

I love my freebie i got from the june promo. I run 12/12 from seed had no issue with her she went nice and purple for me late in flower i loved the taste and smell so much i re vegged her now im scrogging her out for a few months hoping the 2nd time around is even better and man you would not believe the branching on the 2nd go around should be a good harvest shooting for around june i also plain on a 2nd re vegging so a 3rd flowering might even just make her a mother plant and take clones. Should run another couple of those beans man you might get a winner like the plant i have.
