Let's talk serious SCROG

hey clayton you did ok i noticed alot of people let them grow thru screen what happens here is instead of table having all buds it becomes more of a support table if you catch my drift the goal is to fill every square meaning once plant reaches your screen and onto on square you tie it to that section let it grow a bit more then carefully move it to next section and tie it there ,PLANT ALWAYS BEING UNDER YOUR SCROG TABE and so on till all squares are full lower your lights when flipping into flower as for they don't stretch going this route all buds will be on top of screen rather then your plant being 1 to 2 feet above table if you catch my driftalso you need to supercrop, top,LSt ,fim as to make your plants seriously bushy what i do is when i transplant into my 12" pot instead of planting it in center i off set it and plant it at a angle as to make it easier to LSt i also will place my clones that are in 4" prior to transplanting litterally place them on there side as to start the curving procedure i will train my plants and tie them around pot till they are completly around pot then untie and start letting them grow up same time fimming , supercropping you name it lol so by the time plant reaches my scrog table at 5 foot level theres hundreds of bud sites per plant making it easier to attach to table

I'm with you, I think. I have six plants under my canopy. Only three of them are laced through the screen because I got them weeks earlier. I started running out of places to route the upshoots. What do you do with all of the new growth off the stem while you are feeding the top through the next square?

Edit: After walking away I figured out what you meant about no plany above the screen. The stems stay UNDEr the screen. Question about off shoots still applies.

When the side shoots get high above the screen I just pull them under and move them a square or two over. Of you have a dense scrog then trim the living shit out of the lower portion under the screen

I do have quit a few stems that will never make it to the top. Should i trim EVERYTHING underneath allowing more to get to the top, or just leave them so I don't shock the ladies?

2 weeks into flower

  • Well here they are at 62 days, plants on the left seem to have stopped growing and are drying up, plants on the right seem to be having small growth but most of the hairs are still white, there are very few ambers on either plant, well next week as in Monday......I'm thinking chop, chop on the left 2 plants

yes clayton start very low on stem and make sure you got sterile scissors and start cleaning everything up do this during your next 2 weeks should have her clean like pic by week 4 this way all energy goes to top bud sites

Flushing is a myth in hydro, never did side by in soil but for hydro, flushing does absolutely nothing. There are no "excess salts" in most hydro set ups. Processing chlorophyll and reducing nitrogen in the plant tissue is all about drying nice and slow.

This may not sound so odd when I explain. I started with 4 plants, harvested 2 due to slowed or no growth, another 1 is about ready (amber trichs), the last 1 pistils are still white, even though they were all watered fed etc the same. To the point, I took cuttings from these plants and left them in party cups 12/12, they flowered grew triches but remained about 4 inches tall. Here's the thing I want to stress these lil midget plants to produce seeds...... HOW ?

Well as someone that left for christmas new years after chopping 4 of my 12 plants, and then came back 7 days later to find that the rest of the plants had started to go to mother fucking seed, I would say you chop up all your hermied plants, piss on them, then run them over with your car, then dry them out and burn them.

That is what I do with hermie plants.

Thought I would chime in on the scrog method after a 11 hour harvest and trimming session. In short, fuck scrogs!

While you may get slightly more bud, the trimming is a fucking nightmare and no matter how much I try, there is always so much god damned popcorn I could open a movie theater.

I helped the best grower I know harvest last month. 15 gallon smart Potts, 8 plants under 8 600's. We cut all the fan leaves off, took the stakes and yo yos off, chopped the base and hung them upside down. Three weeks later he had 8lbs of dank large buds and about 3/4 pound of popcorn

Anyone in Portland interested in two nice scrog screens?

Would you say its worth it for a small grow ie 1m square? the main problem im having at the mo is the hight on the plants the tallest one is just over 5ft and the smallest is about 3 and a half ft, ive had to prop the smaller plants up and ive nearly run out of room. their 3 weeks into flower but i didnt do scrog this time because i had 3 different strains
