Guys, I'm leaving the site. This place isn't fun anymore, especially after some of you guys started trying to make money off these COBs. I don't like the holier than thow attitude people are getting about this shit, either. Seriously, it's just a metal case, a DC driver, and the simplest of circuits. Weed is a plant that's easy to grow. Some of you guys like to take that heavy draw of breath through your nose before you look down it at people. Get over yourself. That's all I have. Later guys:)

Please don't vote for me on the party cup. I won't be accepting a place.

Blurple sucks, and don't ever let anyone say it doesn't with a straight face.

O c'mon... don't leave us! I know there's bullshit from some high horse young jocks. Really takes away from learning anything. But ppl like sds and gg and alesh keep me goin. I have a retreat over at provision but the activity over there is dead to say the best. If everyone went over there it'd be different but I don't see it happening. Maybe come over there it's quiet. Too quiet. But no bullshit.

I'll miss you buddy. First puff. Not you... just doesn't feel like the old riu. Hasn't for a while I know... but us nice guys (non ego guys) must rise above the others and not let them run us out. I just don't sub to shit like show off your blurple and the twilight panels or whatever. When I have nothing else to look at then I look at what's on page one... them yea I read the Crappy threads but then, I find sds thread of cannabis spectrum and I gain some hope. Always worth hanging around. Even if you don't have a journal or post.


And look at psus blurple! There's still a eay! Lol and guod is a firm believer in em. And that dude knows more than any of us. Gotta be something to it.... don't get me wrong, white has really changed the game for all of us. But to accent the whites... just maybe...

Definitely hear what your saying, I've thought that same way many times. I blow my gasket here and there and everywhere..lol...I apologize for every rant that contributes to the crap.

But its like not looking at a hot chick, hard to do. I can only read so much of other subjects before I find myself reading up on strains or checking page 1 of the led section.

I'm very close to quitting the riu led habit myself. Can't help but feel theres a swarm of peddlers hovering over quietly learning things they would otherwise never figure out on their own, just looking for a money grab.

But, I've been thinking, I think I'll hang around a bit more. There are a few jewels left here, and while not much lately, the largest group of led growers that produce results. Just need to fine tune the internet presence and choose words more carefully. Take out a few growers and all that will be left here are led salesman...like every other forums led section.

anyway..food for thought..hope to see ya around once in a while mc. Although if the balance of growers and sellers grows any more seller...I'm out too...they can talk to each other all day without interference

When I first joined riu you were one of the first I started watching. I feel a different vibe in t h e led section especially in the last 6 mos. I still feel new here compared to a number of members in the led section. But I've learned a lot from you and others here and for the most part really enjoyed it. I don't know, I try to ignore the arguments and stay away but it's easy to get drawn in. I just wish there was more grows being shown in this section. I've been gravitating to other sections lately to see how people grow and just hang out. I wish you the best and hope you pop in once in a while.

The way I see it, the only reason DIY COB fixture building was so popular and successful over the last year or so was due to the absence of commercial COB fixtures and now that we're finally getting options, you become upset and want to leave us? Wow.

Cooking food really isn't that difficult yet we have hundreds of fast food restaurants and diners in every city. The fact is, not everyone wants to cook up their own soon-to-become shit and would instead rather do something else with their life. Yeah weed, like most other plants, is easy to start but is rather difficult to master. I'd like to see gurus and +20 year old growers disagree with me on that, I really would. I guess if everyone was equally contempt with their growing abilities, everyone would be growing with incandescent light bulbs and soil that they dug up from their backyard.

And I know you aren't specifically poking me but there are only a few other COB fixture companies out there, so by default, I'm apart of the equation that you so elegantly despise. I don't know if you have forgotten but there has only been a few other LED lighting companies that showed respect and honor for their customers in the past, with the rest being greedy and impious with their business practices. I want to carry on the legacy of the former companies with my company and even take it to the next level with options that other companies haven't offered in the past, like offering cheap upgrades and uniquely colored fixtures; I don't just want to make profit and be my own boss, I want to also offer something to fellow growers that is truly magnificent, something that carries with it pride and honor.

As a fellow grower and peer, I apologize that this emerging market has rubbed you wrongly, as I, by default, am undoubtedly apart of the equation.

I feel the same way you do at times with MOST social media, but you got to just take a breath, or a weeks worth of breaths and clear your mind.

The post that led me down this rabbithole was mc130p tearing a blurple enthusiast a new one. Reached by googling the crappy light i was considering purchasing. I thought mc130p was an asshole. Here i am over a year later......

Some of us just dont post journals for safety reasons etc. Still love the info, still love the bullshit. Could do without the constant self promotion but oh well!

Actually PSU it was Puff, Endurox, and BK who were the blurple masters. I was growing with those shit Chinese panels back then so my shit could only be OK at best :). And it was foil TAPE dammit!!!!! LOL

And if there was ever a grower to rock the cheap panels it was MC. Black Dog should of hired him to grow for them. True dat. Anyway MC it sounds like you are experiencing that phenomenon of the Rollitup LED-section break. Peace my friend and for the love of god you gotta cure some of that Grinspoon for like 3 months. Shit will have you trippin' if you do it right!

I didn't forget about your patented pie tin reflector either..

Mc's blackdog runs pissed off this section with his results:) .......................he'll be back when the party cup comp blows over!ha
