Most definitely create a grow journal. We need to keep having people do that, so the nay-sayers can actually see the progress and results and shut their mouths. LED powahhhhhh!!!!!

Problem fixed. I was under feeding them, but thought the damage was from over feeding them. I'm at 1300ppm now and the plants are greening up and recovering nicely!

PF- where did you get the Lumigrow? How many watts is it? I was trying to find a Journal for you, but I don't think you have one...?

I've been on LED since I decided to grow my own medicine. Since it was all premeditated and stuff, I made sure I didn't start off half-cocked. I did anyway, but that's just because no matter what you think you've covered in your plan, there are always unexpected things that force you to change plans.

I'm using the Theoreme Innovation solution. Crazy French Canadiens... I say that with love; I took French in school instead of Spanish; I'm in California. If you want to learn how to chop wood, you don't use a plastic axe. Get a real, researched, designed and engineered LED grow light. Mind you I've never compared mine to another light, so my writing here is biased.

I use CFLs for veg and the TI SL-600 ProBloom (ProBloom is a mix of spectrum that includes UV, IR and green and orange, in addition to the reds and blues.) LED to flower my ladies. I'm about to purchase a second one to mount right next to it on the mover. The only difference between the plants I grew indoor under this light and the same strains out in the back yard was in the yield. The indoor was super sticky and fragrant and potent when it counted. The outdoor was... the same. But the two plants outside gave me about twice the final yield as the two indoor plants did. (The four plants, all clones from one mom, vegged identically under 6500K CFLs (12x23W) for about 6 weeks. Then they were separated.

There is no replicating Ra.

But I'm about to get close. There's a new TI-600 on it's way soon; just waiting for the wife's tax return. Mounted side-by-side as one unit, we'll have what would be claimed to be equivalent to a 1200W HID. But our two lights will draw 660W in total. I can't wait. It's the reason my plants seem to love the veg room and get "skinny" in the flowering room. I was trying to spread the photons too thin with several plants in there at a time. Even with the mover--which should be required equipment for anyone--I was asking too much. With this second light, I'll be doing much better.

I put the three seeds in root cubes on Jan 7, only one of them popped I have yet to determine its sex. On Jan 15 I recieved 2 Mango Kush clones, 1 Master Kush clone and a Afgani-Shiva plant from seed. (Christmas gift from my mother)

The clones were healthy but they had started twisting a little as well as the leaf tips were dead. The Shiva was extremely healthy and looked great, nice strong plant. I put all into flower on Jan 24 and am still eager to sex the "Shiva" and the "Chili Pepper".

A light mover moves your grow light. There are several benefits, though some grows don't have the space. That is to say... A closet grow won't get much use from a mover, unless it's a nice big walk-in closet!! :) I have a LightRail 3.5. -- www.lightrail3.com There are two models, slow and slower...

Depends on your setup, and the spec'd beam angle of the LEDs comprising the lamp you are looking at. Assuming that you would be using a 300W lamp with a 140 degree beam angle, you should be able to do between 20-30 smaller plants in a SOG setup, and probably about a maximum of 8-10 in a ScrOG or standard horizontal setup.

Oh that's coo, I was thinking bout gettin two of the Lumigrow 300w lamps or illuminator pro 330w or something like that for something like 20 plants. I hear they're freat for vegging, but are the yields worse ? Edit// for the record Ima super noob and dnt know what scrog or sog is, but this website is a gold mine of info. I'm tryna yield like 6 zips per plant or so.

I have been away for awhile. been getting things ready for spring. These are some pics of my girls taken today, 3rd weeks of flower time. My #1 plant is showing very sativa like traits and is 2.5 ft taller than her sisters. Which leads me to believe this strain isn't to stable. they are all GHS Alaskan Ice.

these plants went through veg and 2 weeks of bloom with 1k hps and some leds... i ran out of room for the 1k, close enough to burn. they will finish their lives under 920 led watts. anyone thats interested the link is in my signature.

Hey PF,
i bought a 90 w led last summer ($209) because of the less heat stamp and power consumption - worked OK for flowering, but then I got a 250 W HPS for flowering and started using the LED for vegging - wow - my plants took off - they love it for vegging! it works perfect for my set up - just using a small roughneck - 10 gal or so doing DWC - anything bigger probably wouldn't work. With a 90 W they are correct when they say 3'x3' - that is about all the distance it covers. I'm totally satisfied with my LED but I'm sure people are disappointed with them. There are lots of bullshitters out there selling people junk - just be careful where you buy them. Mine was from eufala - check them out.
