Ive managed to stay away from ufos. I think the 100w diamond would be a nice fit in that space, might be too big though you'd need to check the dimensions to make sure it fits. Why are you only interested in buying from a boston area store? Kind of putting limitations on your options that way.

Just kessil and these guys

I checked their website out talk about pricey, i like the build quality but im not about to drop a g on a light where they wont even tell me footprint area or anything, they just dont give enough info yet, they do look like s1 to keep an eye on but they are going to have to bring prices way down for me to consider that.
You can find them over at Greners for about $700.

yeah i really want the diamond series. i'll see if i can get my hands on it i know it'll fit perfectly. the boston thing i don't like ordering expensive things online. returning can be a pain in the butt or in worse case non-existent. i like to be able to walk through the door and lay it on the counter.

so after showing a very close friend of mine my most recent pics of my plant, they verbatim said "so this light I've been talking seems legit..tell me more about it". I love when a product can prove itself because this same friend believed LEDs were useless.

Hello guys!
Being a micro grower, and wondering about LED lights i thought i should post this here, if not can mods move it to the proper place?

Anyways, i'm looking to grow between 1-3 plants ( autos or normals on 12/12 ) i ment photoperiod instead of normals.

Going to make a stealth cab or wardrobe to fit a LED light, liking these because of the low heat output, high usable light for the plants, easy to put up and not needing a proper exhaust ( good powered pc fan should do it ).

My budget is between anything from £0-200 .

I've seen the ' blackstar ' range and the ' penetrator ' range and on a different growing forum theirs been different things thrownback..

a 63w led panel 1w from penetraotr = £200
where as a 2011 100w panel with 3w from blackstar = £100-200

I'm pretty confused where to look and what to do

I'm in the UK also..

Thanks for any advice or info
I'm still doing my research while running this thread so bare with me!

PLEASE PM ME IF YOU CAN, EASIER TO READ!

Could we see some pics of all this (the Grow-Rites in action and the half burnt out Blackstars).
Sounds very interesting, especially the Blackstars burning out, seems like I remember somebody on here warning people of that

lol gonna post it on the "show me some proof of led's working" thread so i didnt change the title but here are my girls all done up at about day 90 :D plus i already took a few down that weighed 21.6 g's dry and this was all done under a chineese 2 spectrum led that runs at ahbout 60 - 80 true watts , plus a few shitty cfl's which didnt do much in my opinion. overall im super happy with the results and cannot wait to get to my next grow which will be even better numbers :D View attachment 1781645View attachment 1781646View attachment 1781647View attachment 1781648View attachment 1781649

If you're talking about Blackstars, they haven't even been on the market that long.
Gotham Hydro started using the Blackstar name for their LED's in early 2010.

look at my post up the page ^ those look like buds that are grown under a light that dont do good in flower? that was my first led run too, people that say led's are good for veg and not flower are using the wrong led's and got ripped off.

So, is it just me that doesn't get answers from Hydroponicshut??
I wrote them and asked about their spectrums (and ratios of them) and the angle of the led's. And if there is heat sinks in the grow light.
If a company can't answer that, then they've gained my mistrust..
In addition I asked about the bin's of the LED's, but I do not expect an answer to that, but if a company can answer this they are AAA++ in my book!

And secondly, are there any EU distributors of the Diamond series from advancedLED? That would help a lot... The 160$ delivery fee is evil..

Curly what cheapo chinese lights are you using? I have heard the cheap lights def don't flower from soooo many people. Only people I have heard they do flower is from people online who are selling LEDS or people who don't have proof of growing big buds under LEDS. Do you have pics of the end of your grow under lights?
