LED GLH Spectra 180 x 4 - 720 watt LED SCROG

Macro setting test for my new Panasonic GF3! Took me a few minutes to figure it out but I love it! This is Hericules from Sannie, not the prettiest bud but it was laying on my tray half smoked lol.

LOL totally true... I've been wanting to upgrade my point and shoot for the longest time and I must admit the main reason I bought a nice camera is to specifically take pictures of pot.

damn bro, that takes a nice pic!!!! i need to upgrade mine!!! so how is she doing today? I am excited to see CO2 results!!! not many spectra owners are using it.... can't wait to see the results!!

Thanks Stoney! I will pic some better buds to play with it later when I have some extra time lol. Lights come on at midnight, won't be home to see her tonight but I will see her first thing in the morning. She's looking better and better every day, almost back to where she was before I nuked her haha. One side of the screen is stronger than the other, I have a couple branches that are just loaded with tips at the ends of the branch, just trying to spread everything out evenly then i will let her go. Not much development yet but I expect to see some action next week. After talking with a couple people about the Co2, the temps in the box seem to be perfect for. Humidity 45% max temp 86F Co2 ppm 1200-1500 Cross your fingers!

How far are you running your lights now in your flower box?

glad to hear she is looking better for ya!! i knew she would bounce back quick!!! It does sound like the perfect spot for co2. ledbudguy has great success with his led and co2!!

my 450w are about 22" away from the canopy. they didn't start out that close, but they grew up to it that close. i don't see many problems but i do see some now and then... my TD is really sensitive to it, but my wonder woman can't get enough!!! i just posted a pic update...

Cool I will peep your thread in the morning. I've been gradually working the light down. Gooing to go another day at this height and if I don't see any stress I will come down 2 or 3 inches.

Everything looked great this morning, we are back to where we were as far as veg goes and they're pushing flowers. Fed her some Open Sesame from FoxFarm for a kick 1/2 tsp/gallon, she got her organics during her last feeding. I'm going to hold off until Monday for pics, should be looking photogenic by then. Dropped the lights to about 22" - Thanks Stoney. Will see how that looks after a couple days. Leaving town again this weekend grrrrrrr, man I just want to spend some weekends at home. Seems like I'm always scrambling to get things done and I never get anywhere because there's always something I can't miss going on. At least the weddings are done, I had stupid mad weddings to go to in August and September, ruined the end of my summer lol.

Burned up a 20 # Co2 tank in under a week, gonna dial it down a notch and stretch it to 80# per 30 days and see what I can do. I want to run it for at least one cycle to see what kind of difference it makes in the 600 tent. I will get pics of the scrog asap, until then here is a Northern Lights I chopped last week and she just went to cure yesterday.

For now, the 600 box has an air cooled hood and runs about 75F with the circ fan turned down a bit and the light at about 16" from the canopy. I use a 320CFM fan to filter that tent. I honestly need more light in there but it turns pretty decent buds. The LED tent is running around 86F at peak at a distance of about 28", one small fan under the canopy and a 200 CFM fan/filter combo for about the same cubic space, slightly less. Okay, that doesn't sound too bad. Right now I'm working with about 4'x1.5'x6.5' lwh but planning to get a 4x4 tent soon. Any recommendation on tent brand, I'm thinking secret jardin? For circulation I've got a cheap 4" desk fan and a honeywell desk fan; been using a 165cfm 4" inline for exhaust. Hoping this will be enough, and I'd actually rather find some way to keep temps down a bit more quietly if possible. Any suggestions or comments man? I really appreciate any help.

Well I can't say exactly how the 500 will compare regarding heat production but I think you're off to a good start. Only one way to find out where she will run and that's to put it together. I scored my tent from Amazon, I shopped around and just scored one that had solid reviews. It wasn't the cheapest, but it wasn't the most expensive either. This is my first tent and I'm satisfied with it, my other boxes I constructed (won't ever again tents are awesome!).

Keep in mind that the room I'm in is warm as it is from the various other boxes I'm running in there too. Heat is an issue for me in the summer but not a factor at all in the winter which is why I'm running this second tent now and toying around. By the time peak winter hit last winter my overnight lows dropped in to the 50's last year. Running more lighting 24 hours per day will help to equalize that for me. For a circ fan I just have one fan underneath my screen moving a bit of air, nothing major, just an 8" box fan, little mini. For right now my temps are perfect, may have to add another light when it starts getting colder lol.

After seeing my first go at SLH coming along I think I have decided it will be the next strain I do if this scrog turns out. This shit is amAzing smelling and looking I freakin love it baadddd.

How is that 4" inline fan noise wise? It says its "quiet" lol?? I'm looking for a good fan and filter for my closet, does that filter seem to kill the odor?

Dude that shit is nuts awesome. A friend of mine just finished one and I about shit when I saw the quality. He's still learning and improving every grow but his last one came out great which included a tasty nug of SLH for gifting him a clone

The fan is not bad at all. There is no vibration in my tent because its suspended.... I can't say if its doing the trick or not because I'm barely pushing flowers right now but I have no reason to believe it won't work well. It moves enough air to keep my temps just right though. I use a larger filter and fan in my other 4 x 4 tent which moves more air b/c of the HID. I like to use an ozone generator also that cycles 15 on/15 off patters 24/7. These things work great but there are health risks involved with them which is why I use a timer.

Thats funny, my buddie has one about to go into flowering and hes working on his 3rd or so grow so this should be his best yet! I'm gonna help him with some clones and grab one for myself!! I can't wait to smoke some though, thats what its all about lol.

About the fan, I'm planning on running a 400hps air cooled hood in my 2x3x7 closet. Do you think it would be better to go with the 6" inline to keep things nice and controlled? Or do you think I could get away with the 4"? Ambient temps get up pretty high during the summer, around 80 not much higher though ...

To be honest I prefer 6" inline with higher CFM than is necessary to be on the safe side. I took a chance to see if this combo would work with the LED's assuming that the heat production would be much less than my 600, which it is. You could do the same and this would probably be enough but... I have the air cooled hood in line with my filter and a 400 cfm fan in my HID box and it keeps up barely enough, probably not quite enough movement for the 600 but it works. Keep in mind that your air cooled reflector is probably a 6" ducting setup. The added ducting from the hood and the larger filter in my 600 box definitely slow the movement down some though.

That smaller unit would probably maybe work, hows that LOL.

DAY 13 of 12/12

The plant is not responding nearly as fast as compared to HID, but I did give her a nasty cold lol. Since then, I've trimmed a lot of damaged foliage. She is craving something, looking hungry for N, I'm wishing I would have transplanted to fresh supersoil in a larger container already. I will ride her out and see how this goes. I will decide if I want to transplant this weekend and either just roll with it or do it. I really don't want to remove the screen and I'm not going to have to move it as far as I can see.

I fed her just a bit before lights out the following -

Jacks Classic 20/20/20 1/4 tsp / gal
Cal Mag 4ml / gal
Thunder 1 oz / 10 gal (humic/fulvic acid, mineral clay, silver)
Roots Organics Buddha Bloom - 1/8 cup / gal
Silica liquid 1/2+ tsp / gal
Topped the soil with about 1" of 1-0-0 worm castings.

I'm hoping a feeding will help to straighten her out, she's still not right since I fried her. I gave her about 1/3 of the feeding now b/c I don't like to feed heavily before lights out. I will put an airstone to the remainder of the solution and administer more tomorrow morning. Suggestions welcome to make her look pretty again! I'm really hoping that the cal mag and N will make her pretty and help her push flowers bigger and faster.

Thanks for the info lol, I'm thinking about just going with the 4" and filter for now and then maybe getting another 4" when I get the light to cool that seperately. I just put some new pics up btw swing on through!
