Nice find on that guod. But I think I would rather get a couple kessils or an eclipse bar powered by illumitex if I were to go for the matrix type leds.

Starting a grow with a 126 x2 penetrator. The seedlings are just under a week young. Will be posting frequently. I will have questions along the way. Wish me luck my brothers and sisters.

I need an opinion on these spectrums. Big Bloom Spectrum: Red(660nm):Red(640nm):Blue(450nm):UV(380nm):IR(740nm)= 12:2:2:2:2 for flowerAccelerated Veg spectrum: Red(660nm):Red(640nm):Blue(450nm):Orange(615nm):White(7000K) = 6:6:6:1:1 for vegetation. I'm about to make a purchase through alibaba I'm looking at the iris model from led star. It's the same as the penetrator x2. I would love and respect your opinions.

For those interested in the California Light Works LED's, they're having a 20% off end of the world sale on all of their high powered LED's. Email them and ask about it

Actually Cali Lightworks has good prices, 165w draw, $449. $2.72 a watt. Vipar charges £499 (about $800 usd) for 300w, that is $2.66 a watt... A51 charges $565 for 215w, that is $2.63 a watt.

I think they're all pretty standard LED prices. Plus Cali Lightworks uses LEDengin LEDs, that's something to take into consideration as well.

hmmm seems they have a better prices on their smaller wattage units i was reffering to there big guys which seem to cost more per watt??? if there "400w" unit draws say 300 watts true power sells for 1000 works out to about 3.3$ per watt ..... im confused why the hell does there larger wattage units sell for more?

either way pretty price comparable .... did they drop the prices on their units? thought they used to cost more. hey EH what are those 5w diodes driven at? how much wattage they really giving off\?

Seems they use close to 1450mA based off some quick calculations. Without knowing their blue/white to red ratios, it's hard to know exactly because white and blues use more volts than reds.

Their most expensive one is $1999 for 650 actual watts, that's $3.07 a watt. Still cheaper than many places.

hmmm interesting , ya i felt that there prices were higher i think i got their pricing confused with stealth grow .... stealth grow is charging 4$ per watt for what looks to be just a rebranded light from eshine or another similar factory. thats crazy in my books that anyone would pay that much.

Well some interesting shit is coming out very soon, so this is what I've heard so far:

My boy Ryan at led star (china) says the are releasing an upgraded version of the Iris line(penetrator look) with the platinum series.... It will be based on a large floodlight mount with passive cooling(no fans) and have a remote dimmable driver.....each led will have an aluminum reflector instead of secondary lenses....sounds good

Procryon led is releasing a 300w upgraded model / completely new design and top grade everything(big $$$).....only person that said anything about it brings up actual patents on this panel and that it will be a game-changer....lol everyone says that crap.......

Hydrogrow led will not release their Omni panel at all......instead they are upgrading everything again and adding dimmable and custom spec dials to the entire line up.....BIG surprise NOT...

CLW is dumping old stock for new shit supposedly( end of the world sale/20% off).....so they probably think it's not the end of the world then:P....may hit 35% off by december....this I kinda don't believe but that what some kid whose "friend" works there said ..Ha..

well that's all I got.........Only Ryan's info is 100% the rest are just rumors so far......will see....lots of cool led panels coming our way..
