Finally, after rescuing this Skunk 9 plant, i recognized that the lower leaves have stayed the same and maybe have gotten worst, but as you can see it is still growing some new nice set of leaves in the middle. I was thinking of just clipping the lower leaves off (mainly because they havent gotten any better) and leaving the new ones so the plant can put more of its nutrients into them and stop wasting time on regenerating the retarded leaves. The attached pictures are in order from before to after.

does anybody recommend this?

(and im not going to throw it away and start fresh because this strain i got was very hard to find so give me a solution that deals with keeping the plant! THX!!)

Hey man,
I don't know the details of your grow so I'm just taking a stab here. Also I am going under the impression you are new.

First off, leaves will curl and bend, thats normal. New growth being lighter is also kinda normal (usually means nitrogen difficiency).

With that said allow me to ask a few Q's based on observations.
1) Your soil looks like a: you made an good mix:clap:, or b) you used Miracle Grow potting soil:sad:. If you used miracle grow's potting soil then your problems are coming from that. Their soil has alot of synthetic ferts that mess up MJ, and young plants in particular.

2) How often are you watering? It should only be about every three days if not more. Overwatering can cause these same stress signs.

3) What lighting are you using?

My statements:
1) Don't cut any leafs off until they are 50% dead. When they are green they still do their job. Light green works too, but just not as well. I've had new growth come out a light lime green color, and once it was a full sized leaf it was dark dark green.
2) I don't know if your feeding them, if you are, don't. Wait until they are bigger.

Good luck man, keep us updated with pics.

well like i said i RESCUED the plant from someone, and it just so happends that person left it outside and never really took care of it. :-?

its been a week since i rescued it. first i cleaned out the soil it had, which was basically clay at the roots. I cleaned the medium, and of course replanted it with Miracle Grow Moisture Control (which actually has been doing well for it when it comes to producing the new plants in the center as you can see they are growing pretty well

(attached are my lings not in their grow area, they where both planted on the same day but one was germinated and one was just planted as a seed in moist soil, obviously with the same miracle grow under a 18" flouro for now.......:blsmoke:)

the other leaves i guess are just not really responding to the treatment, thats why i thought of just cutting them off and leaving the new leaves to see what happends....

Any recommendations now?

Separate the two plants into their own pots...

They are also stretching really bad. Make sure that flouro is within 4 inches, and is the right spectrum (6500k).

I had that problem, albeit in a hydro system, turned out to be some type of root fungus or mildew.

Ive said this time and time again MG soil is JUST fine. Check my posts those N.L.'s were grown in that soil from seedlings. However the claim of "synthetic ferts" is completely off . MMG uses a Urea based NH3 wich is available imediately for uptake. Chemical used 1 cup of piss per gallon of H20 and never suffered any adverse effects from MG Damn!

FINALLYYYY someone who actually knows what there talkin about.....and i also recognized that since they are both in the same pot they share the nutrients so not one plant is getting an over load of nutes. and if you see all of the posts about MG messing up plants, they are all in separate pots.
