hey question so i got my little drybox set up and it seems to be working well nice aire circuation got a nice big computer fan screwed it to one of the speaker holes and left a hole open got it in my bed room my room temp is between 75 and 80 when i got my heat on usuall room temp 70 i dont like it less then that there is no light going in the box i well if thee is its minimall but the plant it higher up in the box so its darker up there and i dont usually have the light on in my room my tv light is enough for when im even home i feel cool air come out the hole i left open for the vent. should it be a certain temp in the box not to much i can do to control the temo in the except my room temp im assuming the room temp is the air temp going in the box and another thing ive noticed now that i cut the plant my bud los all its fluff looks so dead will it gett fluffy again when its done drying cuz it looks so sad. another thing i left the fan leaves didnt wanna clip them till it was all dry is that gonna be a pproblem?

70-78 should be a safe range for your drying temps. MANICURE THE BUDS NOW! Anything Ive ever read about harvesting, advises to trim the plants BEFORE drying/curing. It saves a lot of time and trouble,"

Also, sorry, they wont get fluffy again. buds lose about 75% of their weight when they dry. They will get sticky though.

Good job.

P.S. great job on the dry cab, ita amazing the things we can invent for marijuana.

A little bit of light's not really gonna hurt anything. It's not like having to worry when you've just put your babies on 12/12 and have to go check something during their dark period.

Fuck. YES. (shoulders sag) I made the mistake of starting at 4pm last night, trimmed for close to six hours straight, stopped at 10pm because I was so knackered. Started up again this morning at 8, finished at 10am, and.. yes. It's easier when they're fresh.

Do the stems snap? The buds can easily be rehydrated, there are a couple of methods.
yea actually the stems feel pretty stiff just before snap they feel solid but after enough pressure it bends

and i updated the pics better quality :joint:

Oooh.. man. I don't know if I can help you very well there, my place STINKS and my husband keeps commenting on it every day when he gets home from work. I was forced to harvest some girls I wasn't ready to just yet, and to keep the branches fresh for trimming work (it's a lot easier when it's fresh and all) I put them in a Ziploc baggie and put 'em in the fridge. He made me take them out because it stunk so bad (according to him, I didn't think it was that bad).

How about some Febreeze, judiciously applied to the right places? (Behind the knees, ears, neck, and at the elbows and wrists, just like my mother taught me.)

Hi all,

saw this thread and was drawn in. I have seldom had good luck bringing outdoor plants inside or vice versa though a strong fan indoors helps them to make it outdoors (I'm in Ks and its windy) the one time I did have success I brought them inside a makeshift greenhouse (replaced the top of my shed with windows instead of tin) and I actually got two harvests from the plants though the second not as much as the first.

its been 15 yrs since i tried indoors and back then I had a blue and a red light which worked fine if the plants were started in there but they never seemed to work well with outdoor plants. Of course there are many other factors that could have contributed but was curious if anyone has had success growing them to a near mature budding phase and then moving them inside, so to prune and try and get a second growing out of them.

maybe I'm just getting a continuation of the same growth as I sure wouldn't argue with the experts here but it seems like a second growth. in some cases I've even had them elongate (probably not spelled right) where they reverted back to a growing stage but the plants never really did anything past that because I trashed them when the others were ready and they hadn't done anything impressive towards flowering.

Seems like they did kinda flower but I grew to think it would be quicker and better to just start another crop than wait these strange looking plants out to see if they ever amounted to anything.

This is exactly the plan with the majority of my girls. The first one went in under the fluoros (24/0 photoperiod) a couple of days ago. I have another that I only did a partial harvest on and she's still finishing up outside. Because I harvested the one who's under the lights and left very little vegetation, it becomes a bit like a clone, except that it's already got a good root system established. Just have to re-grow those leaves, and maybe become a mommy.

With proper lighting they should, I hope. Are you saying that once the plant's begun inside that it will never grow "properly" under indoor conditions? In other words, that I may be wasting my time going for a re-veg with these girls? I don't expect them to bud as well as outside, but I'm hoping that I can at least get another harvest, and definitely more clones.

I don't see why a decent crop couldn't be had with HID lighting (I plan on high pressure sodium for flowering, been looking at those dual-ballast/bulb conversion set-ups).
