Lakeweed, banana peels, potato peels, molasses and earthworm castings.

I dislike the idea of having to purchase bloom booster, and I was wondering if you could use banana peels, potato peels, lakeweed, earthworm castings, and molasses to make a compost tea to accomplish the same thing. As I can generally get these things without too much expense or come about from normal living anyway.

You're on the right path. I'm assuming you already found out that Banana peels are high in K and have some P and that the potato peels are high P, but you can't just grind them up and add them to your tea. Are you familiar with worm-composting?

With worm-composting, the compost retains more of the NPK of the original material added to it, so in theory you should be able to make a high PK compost for a flower booster and a high N compost for veg. I've actually been in the process of doing this for awhile now and I just harvested the first big batch of my veg compost so I'm going to start a journal after the weekend. My PK compost should be done by the time they are ready to flip.

I've got a list of the NPK values of all kinds of organic materials and food scraps if you want it.
