So my partner ordered them up last wk from hemp depot first time ordering from them in many yrs. i wanted to do early grizzly, jumbo grizzly and sea grizzly. i germinated them 10/10 for jumbo grizzly 6/10 sea grizzly and 1/10 early grizzly after 60hrs. i have no idea why, hemp depot just got them in stock. all my seeds were germinated the same way and i have done 1000's this way papertowel plate method. the early grizzly seeds look small to me and the only one to germinate was bigger. anyways i will update there progress until nov. 20140414_114404.jpg

I have been interested in the Early and Jumbo Grizzly's. I had low germination with GWN stock from Hemp Depot, likely old stock as they probably don't sell a whole lot of them. Good luck!!!

Hi this is my first post ever, I have grown both jumbo and white grizzly. Jumbo was 4 or 5 seasons ago and it was kind of a fucked up year, they were grown guerrilla and deer got to all but 1 bushy plant and one top was left on another one. But the germ was 100% 6 female 4 male. Smoke and flavour was decent and matched description. White grizzly however has been a great for me. I split a 10 pack with my brother inlaw and I ended up with 4 nice males and 1 gorgeous female. My brother in-law had 3f 2m. My goal was to seed the earliest pistils and then kill male plant and let the rest of the pistils bud out. And it was very successful. I harvested September 9th (1 week ahead of prescribed schedule) and ended up with around 120 seeds and just under 6 oz of dried bud from 1 plant. The female was quite tall and somewhat lanky by some standards. I bent her over @ around 14" tall and then let her grow straight up after that, The result was a very thick stalk coming out of the ground great for supporting and supplying nutrients to the rather large plant. There are a few different opinions from seed banks as to sativa/indica ratio, but I would say definitely around 70 % sativa. The main cola was 18" and lateral branches were also bearing large dense buds that curved up to the sky above, plant structure is very tree like, and there's a large number of bud leaves making it a bit of a pain to trim. I can't give a very accurate review of potency as I sacrificed somewhat due to seed production. But it was definitely decent smoke nonetheless. It's a definite "creeper" with a real old school sort of flavour. The high I would say is more up like a sativa. I really like this strain and I will be growing it again. It's a very easy strain for beginners and amazing for anyone outdoors in northern areas that require early finishers. Breeder states sept 15-30th finish but mine came off on the 9th. Thanks for reading this review as there is very little information about the grizzly strains. I will be posting this year in the 2014 open show and tell if anyone is curious.

Thanks for posting this. I grew out a white grizzly once outdors and the top cola was thick and looked like an eaten corn on the cob. It was awesome! And as you said it was done early september. I made the mistake of putting it on top of the metal wood stove to dry and it burnt it. What a dumb ass thing to do but that was my first time growing anything. What an idiot eh! But I recommend this strain too for growing in BC, Canada outside.

Friends have grown the Grizzlies. Early grizz can be a great stealth plant and if done right can yield 3 ounces or so and finish by late august / early sept. A friend harvested a full blown finished one in July, so they are quick.

Jumbo has been known to lite shock flower and get all larfy and hang in that maddening spot of not quite flowering and not quite vegging, if you're not careful about acclimating it to the outdoor lite, but it has a good affect when smoked and grown right. Spraying them with mold retardents is a good idea as their mold resistance varies.

Germination of both early and jumbo is usually good, but maybe old seeds have tainted others experiences with germination?

Sea Grizzly ? Anybody know what's in it and how that does?
