Receiving seeds from Afganistan.

It may have been a bit of a ballsy move on my part, but i decided to order seeds from a vendor in Afganistan who boasts and shows very beautful plants online.I made the order,he sent with a tracking number through Upakweship. So after around 10 days after shipping,i get a message from Upakweship saying ai need to pay them something like $560 for a whole list of insurances,etc...I message my vendor and he tells me they sometimes do that and to respond back to email.I repsond and tell them to send package, there is nothing illegal inside. They then ask me to provide a pic of my ID.I tell them i order internationally quite a bit and never have to go through anything like this. They respond asking if i have ever received natural cannabis seeds from Afganistan. Since it is legal to import hemp seeds into country and the state it is being sent to is a legal state,i am not really concerned with any legal ramifications, but am curious as what to do with this damn shipping company, there is no fckn way i am going to send them anything on a $90 order of seeds, but i also really want these seeds. Any advice? Anyone ever have anything go through Upakweship? I have read both positive and negative reviews on them and have checked to make sure who i am conversing with is actually Upakweship and it is

I got hit with that kind of scam years ago when importing KdF wagen parts made in Poland and Czech. I never paid the "ransom" but did have to wait for ATF to clear my customs. Because they thought it was military tank parts haha.
So if the vendor is legit...
You might still get your package even if you don't pay that ransom.

Unless you ordered a crate full ...
I say you were scammed.
You Pack We Ship is a freight/moving euro-based company
It was youpackweship.ltd, not the other upackweship, which i also find kinda sketchy as i can't find anything on their services online, but they do have a website

I was ordering a couple different varities which i am guessing the Afgan breeder had named, one was a rotten meat smelling plant known as Black Scorpion and the other smelled of apples and was knwn as Green Kabul. The guy has loads of videos on Fb with his stuff,so there is an actual breeder over there, but worst case scenario it is a cloned page of someone legit.I ran some Afgan seeds i got stateside last year from North Atlantic, but didn't end up being anything remarkable at all

Thing with these is you need to sift alot of them to find the good phenos there bred for hash not flower remember why id avoid anyone charging alot for p1 landrace because its gonna take you alot of seeds to find what you want chances are if its something pure but potent you want its an heirloom rather than a raw landrace most
really seek just many people dont understand the difference then get dissapointed with raw landraces ime hopefully you get what you ordered and find something nice

Yeah, no doubt on some of them being bred for hash. I grew a Bodhi hashplant that tasted absolutely terrible in flower form but produced some of the cleanest, brightest tasting hash ime.
I have noticed some of those breeder's plants in Southeast/Central Asia are producing some really pretty purple and black looking bud. Decently tight buds too. If I had more room, or more time outside, I'd try one of those strains.

The main reason they grow hash in Afghanistan is for trade export to Europe. Or at least that what drove the demand for them to breed for hash in the 80's

I know im from Scotland we smoked mostly hash for a long time but its not the reason they started actually india is why they started being a big producer to supply them long before us as they(indians) could under cut the taxes buying afghan hash cutting the colonial powers that be at the time out cos the brits taxed charas and whatever else they could also afghans produced hash for a long time before ramping it up for export so its clearly cultural before its became more about big business they like there hash too

Also whats the vendors /seed companies name?
I gave the so called vendor and shipping company enough time to sort it out,so i don't mind blasting the scam or bad business, not sure which honestly. The vendor is an Afgan guy with a FB page called,"Afganistan Landrace Seeds". I was blocked by the guy for asking for money back,he said sometimes the shipping company will do that and to comply. The shipping company,"Upakweship.ltd" wanted $560 to ship saying i couldn't receive packages from Afganistan,so my guess is they were going to repackage it,the company is out of India. It is honestly my fault for the whole thing and i only lost out $90,so isn't the end of the world. I knew better than to order anything from a FB page, but it was tempting and had the followers, views and even reviews. I believe the guy also has an Instagram under same name. He has beautiful plants,i am not truly sure if he is scammer or just bad business practice,if he is a scammer then they have a whole fake shipping company as well, which is possible, just kind of much for a scammer. If something happens and they appear in mail,i will correct this post.
