I can always spot buds that have been trimmed wet. they dont look as pristine. also the task of trimming everything wet is a shit ton of work and isnt practical for large scale. and those dry racks always leave your buds looking flat on one side. i dont believe that leaving the smaller sugar coated leaves on til they dry makes the product harsher. just my .02 folks. hate seeing beautiful finished flowers manhandled.

personally i prefer wet trimming to avoid any further infiltration of mold and mildew....the market is never an issue, and i do not have a problem with the slight overhandling of the buds...i only will screen dry dense buds to avoid any flattening, and will rough wet trim and hang any strain that has a looser structure....i also prefer to knock down my large colas to make consistant sized nuglets that flow and roll nicely both in a turkey bag and a jar.....to be honest i am so glad that i don't have to "play" a dynamic market waiting for my work to become valuable...sounds like a fucking drag really....no offense....

p.s....the presence of ANY mold or mildew spores turns my hard work into garbage, i work with patients with compromised immune system issues, so we have to do what ever it takes to make sure our meds are as clean as possible.

I have always felt that it's better to wet trim...i feel and this is just my opinion that the bud is actually more resilient and the trichromes on it aren't dry and brittle. but i guess on the other hand they are wet and sticky and just stick to your hands rather than just falling off. for some reason i just don't like to mess with the buds once they are dried. granted I also am not working with a massive scale...just a couple plants for my own personal use.

ya its just not practical to trim this much wet. it has to hang. even when u nug everything up small you end up with flat buds. i dont even know how big of a building i would need if i used dry racks to hang everything. 20'x40'?

2 things are a must for long term quality storage, the moisture and oxygen needs to be gone. the vacuum sealer sucks the atmosphere(O2) out of the bag and replaces it with N. oxygen degrades the meds over time.

Hey man, chopped my Sour Flower the other day. Her trichs were all cloudy, and even a couple of ambers. That was 8 weeks on the nose. Where did you get your cut from again? I'm interested to see how long she goes.

i don't mean any disrespect bro, but there are just as many reasons folks will choose to wet trim as there are reasons not to....i am just expressing why i choose not to.....as Bud would say..."pump the brakes bro"....please note what i have highlighted in my post......again, I meant no dis.

i dont know how this strain could be done in 8 weeks. i usually let indicas go to 9 weeks and this is no indica! i think she will be done around the first week of november. weather permitting. im not sure where the cut came from. my neighbor picked it up. could be from harbor. but it is for sure sour flower. i have a full range of indicas, hybrids and sativas in my yard and the sour flower is the slowest.

I had a feeling you'd say that. I was doubting myself as well, but when I see that my trichs are cloudy, I don't know what else to do in terms of looking for ripeness... she seemed ready. I'll post some pics on my thread later.

Don't you think you could have achieved the same yield from the plants in 400 gallons if u just used 100 or 200 gallon bags it seems like a lot of extra money on soil
not doubting u or anything obviously you have it down but just wanted to know if u see drastic increases

onward and upward! 4 40 acre parcels under my direct contol next year. 99 full season outdoor on each plot. and a fifth parcel with (4) 30' x 95' foot hoop houses.

that is all.
