pots are placed directly on the ground. 1000 gallon pots are 9' in diameter.

each pot has the following:
35 2 cubic foot bags black gold organic
3 big bags perlite
20 30# bags wiggle worm
50 # alfalfa meal
50 # fish bone meal
10# crab meal
10# blood meal
10# feather meal
8 cups humic acid
10# azomite
50# gypsum
50# rock phosphate
5 cups magnesium sulfate
1 cup myco @ transplant

im going to be aggressively topping these all season. i use heavy duty concrete "fabric" to support the ladies both an internal cage and one that goes around the whole circumference of the pot. also long rolls of trellis will be used for the tops and to wrap around once they bust through the cage.

To be 100 with you, I dont know. My starts were kinda small (5-7 gal) and they are older than I'd like. I prefer as young of a plant as I can. They are more vigorous, disease resistant and yield more. With the exception being the 400's, they are pretty fresh. Also the soil was recently mixed, I'm hoping its not too hot! I was way behind schedule, because I had to clear the entire plot where the 1000's are located. It was literally a jungle! Plus all the soil and castings had to be moved by hand. All the beds were then turned turned by hand. Im just hoping for a respectable yield this year. Next year I will be more confident with forecasting.
