Kinda fucked!!

So last year in may i got oulled over for doing 65 in a 35zone. speeding ticket. my court date came around and I didnt go to court. its been a year now since that and i have got 3more tickets for traffic stuff since then and all those tickets i have not gone to court for.

yesterday i get two letters in the mail from the superior court 1 for the speeding ticket a year ago and the other for a recent ticket they both say i have a warrant issued for my arrest and that i should set up another court date to see the judge. so these two letters have fines on them that sum up to about 4400bucks!!!

what do you guys think im in for??? like whem i show up for court. im super fucked theres no way i can pay it off. im super shitting it i need advice lots of advice.kiss-ass :shock:

The longer you leave it, the worse it will get. If you can't pay the fines there and then they should let you pay it off. Wear a suit and tie. Don't turn up to court stoned either.

How is your license not suspended???

Consider a consultation with a lawyer. At this point his experience will be worth the 200 bucks you'll pay to talk to him. 200 bucks is cheaper than jail and he might even get the fines reduced or a few of the tickets dismissed if you hire him. If you've never dealt with the courts and you go it alone you might piss off the judge and end up doing a few days in jail plus the fines.

Lesson learned: Never ignore tickets or court.

x2.. this is good advice, the best advice i can give you about the american judicial system is get out of it as quick as possible and stay out! they don't care about you or your rights, they want your money.

Think of going to court like ripping off a band-aid and like ripping off a band-aid its easier if you can avert your attention while someone else does it for you. Like SouthernGanja said, get a lawyer. I had to appear in court over an unpaid fine years ago. Unfortunately I had been on Acid all weekend and didn't bother to get a lawyer. I couldn't find my dress shoes so I went in a dark pinstripe with white sneakers (my feet felt huge). The judge ate me alive. Court is no place to be dealing with an acid comedown..... What were we talking about? Something about a dog?

im going to call tomorrow morning to set up a court date as the letter said i should do. ima go in well dressed this isnt my 1st court apperence so i know how to act but im just shitting it cuz i know i dont have the money to pay it all off. and my license has been suspended. im suprised its not revoked.

yeah ild wait till you had the money to go you dicked them around this long they r going to you 2 options paying it on the spot or so many days in jail for it no money= u no go home

not once but 4 times?? wtf you so scared of goin to court for shit. go to the court date and plea not guilty. the judge might retract the warrants but since you got 4 damn tickets its hard to say. the judge will set you up on payments of course. if you got a good job they would rather have your money any way. just go to court next time damn it

thats what i was thinking that they might make me do time and money. i mean im scared of court when im broke. all this country cares about is money. no lesson learned ima still speed my ass off just be broke doing it. ima really come up with some soft ass bullshit story maybe i can win the judge over. ima be real with him too about me being broke and scared.

get a few hundred packs of ramen noodles and take as many cuts as you can and keep your ass int he house the next three months while you do the biggest grow you can and make the money to pay them off. pay by check in the mail and then go to court once it's paid off. that or go to jail probably if you go in there empty handed after showing zero respect for the judicial process by never showing up to court.

if you have a job that will deter them from putting you in jail. they just want their money and they cant get it as fast if they make you loose your job by locking you up. stress that point and go int here ready to make a big ass payment. sell something like a video game systems you don't need that shit no way if you are in jail.

next time man don't be a tool and act like a responsible adult and pay your shit so you not dealing with petty shit like this that could mess up your employment, rental agreement, grow, shit your whole life!

Looks like your goin down the same road as my brother.I told him time n time to pay the ticket he got a speeding ticket goin 90 in a 65 ticket originally coulda been droped or even lowered but he waited after 30 days after court it doubles then every month there a 50dollar fee n 50dollar surcharge.I just got a ticket a year back for goin 80 in a 50 n i was shittin bricks cuz anythin over 30mph over in my state they can arrest you.But i didnt get arrest went to court paid 500 bucks for a lawyer and he actually got it dropped no points on my licence and i only hada go to that stupid driving school.So moral of the story if you do things by the books your better off.Be safe and happy growing

Dont listen to him in my own opinion i would not grow if i had a warrant for my house just throwin more oil on a fire u no.If the sherif ever does come by ur crib since u dont respond to the letters it will happen sooner or later u dont want them catchin u wit plants to there ur goin away for a good time bongsmilie

lawyer is a must for your situation.

when your in court play the "good kid" that regrets what he did and so and so on... always worked for me.

you'll be able to pay teh fine in some stupid repayments ( $20 a month )

future transport?

yeah i get the point i fucked up i could of gone to court and gotten fined but to be honest i was scared. shit we all see court as money or time. i wasnt gona do time and risk gettin stabbed in jail for a speeding ticket i dont know i just really fucked up. ima be as honest as hell in court and ima begg my ass off to try and lower the fines and ima sell as much shit as possible to make some extra cash. as for the grows ima pass ive stayed low pro for a while i dont need to be arrested in my house while plants are enjoying their life in my room.

ima seriously act like a pussy in court with puppy eyes and a shit load of sorries. you think its possible to do community service??

Be totally straight with the judge. They have heard every excuse in the book. They respect honesty and can usually smell bullshit from a mile away. For a $4k fine I would pay for a lawyer so I could keep my license and maybe get out of paying some of the money. In Oz we get free legal aid for any crime what could incur a custodial sentence but you are better off paying for it. The Ramen noodles and SOG Idea might be worth looking into too. A pound and a half should do it. Theres your community service.

You can get the free legal help too if it would help your money situation.. though public defenders are thought of as "lawyer rejects" around here, I know of a guy who got out of illegal weapon charges with one. They're just as qualified. Don't stress it, and don't bullshit the judge, as said above. Trust me man, the traffic violations are the stupidest ones to get. Thanks to that I'm officially in the "system", fingerprints and mugshots, something I never wanted to let the government have on record. Good luck and slow down next time.
