Just wondering how they look to you more experienced growers

Potting up definitely gives you a more solid rootbase allowing your roots to build up more dense, which arguable does take longer but yeilds more overall. I go from clones to 1/2 gallon bags into 5, 7 or 15 gallon for monster mother plants + scrog.

i like to keep it as close to the canopy level as possible. Id find a way to attach it to the side of the pot for now.

Cool. will do!. . . Tent pics update. These rushed pics were taken this mornin. I am otw home from work b have received notification that my 2nd bestva 1500w led has been delivered. So i have a few questions. 1. How should they be positioned in my 4x4? 2. When in flower should they both be on in full spectrum with both veg n flower switches on or just the floee(red lighting) on? 3. Whats the best way to cool the 4x4 with the LEDs running? 4. Would there be any benefit to running both of these lights right now during veg?(i do have 2 auto flowers in there) thanks for any n all help.

Yes 90% humidity is way too high that could cause an environment for powdery mildew to grow if a spore did contaminate the room. Normally my room is around 65% humidity which goes up when I water and the plants transpire, to counter act this I keep a dehumidifier in the room set to kick on at 85% to avoid those issues.

I can't see from the pics do you have a fan blowing on top of the canopy so you have proper air flow in there? Helps your plants grow stronger and the airflow may help with the humidity.

Last question, do you have a co2 tank emitting and a small exhaust fan blowing out occasionally? How are you supplementing fresh co2 into the grow?

i have the same meter, the reading will be false and say its much higher than your actual room rh% if its on the moist dirt, ive learned this from experience thats why i told the OP to move it.

Nice . What kind of dehumidifier are you running? Are you in a 4x4 as well? I do have 1 oscillating fan up top blowin downwards. Lastly, No i dont have any type of co2 tank. . . At the moment for fresh air i just open the tent vents and leave the top front zippers open to allow the fresher air from the bedroom the tent is in to come through. . . I have a fan and ducting that i used with my mh/hps setup but i was unsure as to how to use it with these LEDs . . . Still looking for ways too cool the 4x4. I saw these small ac units on amazon for like 40bucks. Im not sure if they would work or not. I would love to have automation so things kick on automatically to keep the environment steady in the tent.

You should consider increasing your fan size. Run an intake fan bringing fresh air into the tent and an exhaust to pull warm air out. I run a 4” intake/exhaust running all the time cranked and have no problem with heat. I have a 600 hps and a led that cranks 300w and temps sit nicely at about 78-79. If a 4 “ is to small then go to 6 or 8” fans to get higher cfm’s. Also make sure you buy two of the same fans to match the cfm’s

No I'm not running in a grow tent I have a room converted to a grow.
In my opinion the single most beneficial part of having a grow tent for you, is that it is a completely sealed environment so you get the most utilization out of co2 usage. Co2 will double even quadruple your yield, increase veg growth and make clones root faster. I think not having even a 20lb c02 bottle is not using your full capabilities.
To take care of the heat use a 600 watt bulb in an air cooled hood, so the heat is transported out and the co2 stays.
Alternatively you could use t5s for veg or ceramic metal halides, but these are more expensive.. each method has pros and cons.

you probably dont need a dehumidifier... just to move your meter like i said lol.

What are your temps like with both lights on? I always run both the veg and bloom lights from veg through flower, the more the merrier IMO.

Does your tent have ducting openings? your leftover HPS fan and ducting can be used as an intake blowing fresh cool air into the tent. Air exchange is how you keep that tent cool

This is what i have from the hps set up. . . Can i use this or should i buy 2 different fans. . . Also how would i need to set them up. Thisbis where i am lost at. I need step by step instructions or an easy to follow diagram or some shit. . . . @Clumpyoyster could i see pics of your led/hps set up. I thought about trying to figure out a way to utilize my hps too but the huge ass big kahuna wouldn't fit with anything else in there. . . . @etruthfx how/where do I get co2 in the tent?

I haven't put the 2nd light in there yet. Not sure what temps are with both on. . . You run veg n bloom from start to finish?? Is there a reason y? I mean does it produce a better product than having only veg light during veg and flower during flower? Im jc. . . . Yea ive read so much about air exchange but im just unsure as to how to accomplish it. . . .like how do i utilize the carbon filter n fan and have proper air exchange? What all pcs/equipment do i need ? And how do i put it together in the tent? . . I e been lookin at portable ac thinking that this would be the answer to keepin the tent cool. . . .but im also looking at the lack of space i have in the tent atm as well. I think ima run 3 or 5 gallon smart pots next time and save the 7g for an upgraded tent down the road. I mean i like having 6 ladies in there. Thanks again for your help and reply!

Because blurple lights like the one you have are shit. Im using one in my veg tent right now until i get an HLG in there and you want as much output and as full of a spectrum of light as possible. I flower in a separate room under quantum boards but if i went from start to finish under a blurple i definitely would have it on full blast from about 10 days to finish.

Honestly man you should have figured this all out a long time ago. Thats a basic yet crucial step of growing in tents and you should spend some time reading up on it if you want to have a harvest worth all this time. your environment should be dialed in with lights/ventilation for days before you had seedlings or clones in the tent not part way through veg. A decent portable AC is at least $120^ and most need to exhaust hot air somewhere, they dont just create cold air with no byproduct. They usually dont actually go inside the tent either. You need negative pressure in your tent, heres an article about it. --> -NEGATIVE PRESSURE-

What are your temps on the high end anyway?

I'm a newbie trying to get my 4x4 tent up & running properly before I plant my first auto beans, tent in in a bedroom, central air in the house, so far I have an S6 fan / 6" carbon filter in the tent with two 6" clip on fans venting into the room its in. With the lights running / all fans on & drawing air through the screen vents on the tent I'm running at 86 degrees & right at 35% humidity. I'm thinking I need an 6" intake fan & a humidifier for the room or in the tent. Any suggestions ? Thanks !

Ok man here are some pic and brief insight into my 5x5 flower tent. I run 4” intake and exhaust both the same make and model to match cfm. Fresh air in from the next room and hot air exhausted outside through the basement window that I removed and built exhaust ports. You bring it fresh air in to the bottom of the tent and exhaust from the top of the tent. I made my intake hose long and as soon as it enters the tent I perforated the line so small amounts of fresh air are dispersed along the way to the main. Both intake and exhaust are carbon filtered with prefilters. I have two 6 inch oscillating fans on 24/7 as well and the 4” fans. Everything on high. I hope that helps your set up a bit. Cheers

This is very nice although I would opt for the co2 bottle over bags for more control, well done.
@OP What you should do is copy a similar setup to this one, maybe use the bottle.
IF you do have heat problems, run the duct work from your scrubber, into your light, then more duct work to vent it outside. Here is an image i found on google to control the heat. either of these options would work for you.1578634583552.png
