this sounds ballin but for quests u should have some guy like 'rasta ray' or something who u meet at the beginning and he sells u weed for good prices - he grows - u work for him in his grow - and for like missions it'll be like 'joey's calling you *u pick up phone* 'hey man, i need a halfo, u think u can hook me up?' 'yeah dude got some dank for 140 a halfo if thats coo' 'sounds good dude' then u go pick it up for like 90 a half and pocket the 50 ----- OMG make it a stoner life - dealing simulator
Sounds like a good idea, however I like the idea of being the grower that your comming to to get your dank to sell. Hopefully the game will include both aspects of growing and selling in an mmo enviroment. At least that is my hope.

Cheers

yeah like i was thinking u start off selling for someone u meet -- maybe u move to a new town, need some dank, meet a guy who happens to grow -- u help him out, sell weed for him, start off small work ur way up, and when u have enough money u start ur own grow op. that'd be ultimate

That would be awsome.

I'd like to see growing and cultivating kind of in a Farmville style manner. But also I'd like to be able to have control over the growing process (feeding growing plants, watering, changing light cycles if indoors, etc). And then on top of that, distribution, setting up a business, and whatnot. And then, of course, the MMO element of adventuring and "fighting". Lofty, I know, but I'm just throwing out ideas.

A lot of what I picture can be done in a browser-based setting, not even something as complicated (I use that word lightly) as a Facebook game.

A browser-based stoner game would be cool, actually. I think it would be easier to make the game and easier to update and maintain it. It wouldn't quite be an MMO, at least not as likely in a real-time sense, but it would obviously be an online game.

That's the kind of game I would play for like 30 min, and then never play again in my life.
Good luck though.

I think if you're going to bother making a weed game, why not make it the weed game?

The ideas for quests are good. I'm thinking take the good things from other successful games and incorporate them into your concept. Like, the missions should be something like a cross between the Grand Theft Auto series and the COD special ops missions. Make them varied in every way possible. You could also throw in the karma factor from a game like inFamous.
Maybe the storylines could vary, like if you do good and grow organic and never rip people off your story line could move forward as an eventual freedom fighter, and your end victory could be getting marijuana declassified on the drug schedule and legalized everywhere, thereby making you the most beloved man in history, Jesus Christ included.
Or if you go the bad route, you could still have grows but illegal, take over neighborhoods, branch out into harder drugs and go the route of Tony Montana or the guy from Blow.

Have the ability to micro manage a little, like the Sims. Maybe not that extreme. But setting up grows, your character, etc should have lots of user input.

Also, when you get rich from this, be sure to pay me.

I think I would play it based on it's current premis but if you somehow incorporated sex somehow I would be all over it. Maybe just some 60's style no strings attached sex. Weapons would be good and those should be limited to giving the other players a brutal shotgun to put them on the couch while you passed them heading for the hidden munchies horde. :leaf: mmmmmm Munchies!!:D

I have beta tested games before. Also I know a few programming languages, and studied computer science at college. Also I'm unemployed and know a fair bit about growing and smoking the stuff. So... Wanna be bffs?

EDIT: I want to offer my help is what I'm getting at lol.
