Just Got Raided After 24hr Of Posting On This Site!!! No Search Warrant

Just got raided !!!3 Cops came drilled out the lock kicked the door in !!! Then after ripping my shit up they left !! I even asked if I was doing anything illegal and they said no just I wasn't aloud to grow were I was living because I was renting !! Management is kicking me out what are the legalities of this ? I have my script they didn't care

It sounds like your landlord turned you in, and seeing as how it's their property the cops were more than happy to oblige. So technically they didn't need a search warrant if they had the landlords permission. However in most states landlords must give 24 hours before making entry so you may have a viable case on your hands if you want to pursue legal action. Did you request badge numbers, warrant, etc.?

For future reference always be up front with a landlord and tell them you have a medical card and that you grow your own and would like to know if this is ok with them before getting into a new lease. (Getting this in writing is a good idea too.)

-On a side note, do you happen to use a common internet connection between all the residents where you live? If so, your web activities may have been being monitored.

I'd buy that but for the drilling the locks part, the cops usually knock unless it's a sting.

But you never know these days I guess, you could be right.

Cops don't drill locks. They knock that shit down if you don't open it for them.

Either bull shit or you got robbed by someone the land lord knows.

Take them to court. If there isn't a police report then how can they prove you were doing anything to justify kicking you out? Could be a big civil case... if this post were real at all.

I was holding the door they drilled/ Kicked it cuz I was standing against it!
Threw me on the ground then went threw my intire house from top to bottom
Pulling cloths off the selfs Nd everything broke some of my stuff tore everything out of the bubbler and took everything except my gear but they left my salvia plant WTF!

I told the cops they weren't coming in with out a warrant then Locked the door cuz they didn't have one. then drilling began

Maintance called 5 min before they tried to enter I opened the door in my boxers and told them give me 30 min I'm in the shower . Hour later I was in silver bracelets

when cops do a real bust, they take a lot of pictures of the 'crime scene', there's sometimes a cop recording the whole thing....

they also call the news. be it a small local newspaper reporter, or a full-on Live broadcast.

if you didn't see anybody taking pictures, numerous people recording the crime scene meticulously, then it wasn't a real bust, and probably somebody on that side was doing something illegal, and you're screwed......

in terms of your landlord being able to enter your property, if he gives somebody a key, they can go into your apartment. you can try and argue technicalities but you are better off saving the time and money.

the landlord has to give you notice to kick you out...

on your next lease you may want to negotiate you getting 2 week notice to vacate, or 30-60 days notice...

Sounds like somebody ratted you out or maintenance did some sort of unannounced check of the apt and found the grow.

Police dont typically come with a drill to drill out a door. That must have been a coordinated effort between the management company and the cops.

I am sure that you had some sort of anti-drug rules in your lease and they have grounds to kick you out.

You are renting a property. The management heard about your grow and authorized the cops to come in and search the place. If they had found 1# of marijuana you would have been charged. Since you are medical they just tossed your place and management tossed you out.

If you had owned the property things would have been different.
