Javadog's Next Adventure

Oh fuck, I am forgetting some. LOL.

Blue Dream is a must. It will be part of the lemon crop.

Purple Wreck gets a automatic invite as well, if it can Veg enough.

As to the others, it depends on who looks the best....

Right now I have 9 slots, assuming another 3X3 array of hempys.

Lets also assume, for the sake of argument, that all lemons make it.
(and that both PKs are female...Huge leap there)

Jacks Cleaner 2
Lemon Juice Express
Lemon Thai Kush
Psycho Killer 1
Psycho Killer 2

Then there are the three plants already in hempys:

Cannaventures Mothers Mix female #1
Cannaventures Mothers Mix female #2
Soma Seeds Somango

(plus one other, fairly mature, CVMM female, still in a small pot == IGNORE)

So, right there, Assuming that one of the three reg beans above (the 2 PKs
and the Jacks Cleaner 2) goes male, that leaves two slots. One for Blue Dream
and the other for Purple Wreck.

BUT this is just guessing at this point.

Here are some shots....

The Purple Wreck clones:
PurpleWreckClones.jpg

The new clones that were given to me: Sharks Tooth and GSC
(where are there in the mix? No f'ing clue! :0)
GSC+SharkTooth-Clones.jpg

The up-potted babies:
Babies.jpg

The remaining sprouts:

The un-molested CVMM:
CVMM1.jpg

The very-molested CVMM:
CVMM2.jpg

The also tied down Somango:

Take care all,

JD

Looking good my friend! Lets hope we both get 2 females, and one of them being lemon pledge pks! I keep going back and forth which I am more excited about, the super smelly berry, or PK. I am sure they will both end up being some amazing plants though.

Keep up the amazing work jd,

Hello all,

Well, the stretch may have ended, but, again, I have not done a perfect
job of predicting their eventual height.

Here is the tent last night:

IMG_1833.jpg

As you can see, I am quite maxed out.

I am seeing great bud development and am just going to let it run
and see what happens.

The OG Kush and OG #18 had no useful clones available when I flipped
the tent, and only one of the Headband clones is still weak and fighting.

So, I will be trying my first re-Veg of flowering clones of these three.

I did take a photo of a nice HB bud:

This is a very strong breed!

Yes, the Cheese Surprise was the freebie that Breeder's Boutique threw in for me.

I was very, very happy to get five of their breeds. It was a good day. :0)

They have all talked up there cheeses, would be cool to see what the fuss is about
im not a big cheese fan, but i assure you pap its not just talk a bud of the exo cheese can be smelt from literally miles away, the smell is so strong and heavy it lingers, if you have a heavy session n a shower the next day, all the steam turns to cheese.......

@jd...very happy you poped cheese surpise looks very nice.....whoose BDream is it?? hso??

so the only veg time your girls will see is under the t8's, your seedlings dont seem stretched for light as i would expect...hows lower bud development under the t8???

will post more 2moz otta go...busy night!!

That is the HSO BD, LK. :0)

I have used the tent for Veg, but not for more than 2-3 weeks.

LOL, this was still too long for the current hempys. They are exploding.

Take care,

JD

I wish mine were exploding :( They are 3 weeks old and all are still tiny. only like 2 sets of full fingered leaves. Seeds always feel like they take forever to me.

Seeds do seem to take ages, but its a fine balence of not paying them any attention and overloving them.....when i start seeds i stick em under the t5 water and come back every 4 days.....whatever will be will be.....i also find planting them on there sides improves seedlings health and success rate 100%

Haha cool beans jd i got my eye on that blue dream........good news hso are now doing green crack, blue dream, and a lemon tasting purple train wreck.....oh happy days looks like hso have everything i need....

Im wondering what the green crack tastes like, mango? And wether this would go with lemon???

if you are able to get noise under control Aero buckets can put out some serious growth for cheap cheap! about $40 per bucket including hydroton and air pumps... larger pumps will put out heavier vibration that will travel further... having higher quantity of air pumps that are weaker will result in less noise that will travel through walls... Change the water once a week and clean the buckets each week with bleach. change air stones each grow. maintain the water level as the plants use water and as water evaporates.. Watch for explosive growth.. 5.5-6.5 ph..

My dream is to get back to Aero growing! First I have to find a place that is on ground level or a place of my own where I do not have to worry about the noise the aquarium air pumps make.

I used general hydroponics Flora Duo 2 part grow and bloom and Ph Down... that was all I needed to use... if i were to add another nute to the lineup it would be cal/mag to balance things out a little better.

LOL, well, I simply had to get that HSO Freebie.

I got a pair (I know...just a pair...I am a tool when it comes to pheno hunts ;0)
of each of four different TGA breeds. I am really enjoying the Qrazy Train
smoke and so have high hopes. heh heh.

...and I did this after already getting my beans nabbed.

If I get burnt, then you can be sure that I will make noise about it.

Beast, welcome aboard. You have great ideas. I am indeed thinking
about a RDWC system. I do have a zero tolerance noise situation,
well, a small hum can be explained, but this is still a sensitive area.
I use a Panasonic Whisperline and can easily recommend this brand.

I am just looking into the connectors for these systems at this point.
This is one of the critical areas where the tech that I will use is not
entirely clear.

Take care,

JD

This is about perfect for my purposes:
80x80x215-amazon-other-02.jpg
This is 2.6' X 2.6' X 7'

I figure that one of my Kessil 350s would do a decent job of powering
a small grow in this tent. It would not really be all the power that I would
want but one good plant, or four medium plants might do well.

(and I know that it would double as a male/pollen and Veg tent perfectly as well)

I am not jumping right on this, but I wanted to make a mental note.

Take care,

JD

The green crack my partner grew was very pungent fuel smell with a hint of spice. Had an unmistakable smell. Was pretty stellar smoking and tasting. After like 4 months of curing, its pretty amazing. I would love to get it in my garden.

Good luck JD on the subcool. I look at the subcool site and at nugbuckets and dlopez gardens all the time and keep thinking to myself, "someday bro, someday" Every single one of his strains looks amazing. Which 4 did you decide on?

Plushberry
Jillybean
Ace of Spades
Vortex X Apollo

I have only grown their Qrazy Train, and I cannot recall what
brought it to my attention, but it ended up on one of my earliest
seed wishlists. It has become one of my keepers, but its mother
started to flower, and so I might have lost it.

I can report on a few impressions from the flowering tent.

1. My Headband is a beast. I love strong genes. If the flowers
are powerful, then this might be worth fighting to keep around.

2. Both OG Kush and OG #18 are actually a disappointment so far,
as they have stretched to death. This is my fault, for reasons yet
to be fully sussed out. I am trying to Re-Veg clones of these. This
is the first flowering clones that I have taken so I am interested in
how this turns out independent of whether I get success or not.

3. LA Confidential is just amazing, structure wise. The buds are
*starting* fat in some odd way....kinda like rose buds. It is also
a strong grower; good genes. I have good clones of this one too.

4. The Kosher Kush also stretched, a lot, but it started out as a
mainlined plant about 8" high!

Note on #2: I actually used my CMH bulb for the first week. I am
wondering if using it for the first two or three weeks might help control
stretch further.

Here is another thing to think about. In some instances, I started off
with a plant that had Vegged nicely to about 2' above the soil.

When I up-potted these plants to their final pot, 5 gallon hempy buckets,
I selected a node along the trunk, the first very strong node, to be the
new bottom node by my burying the plant in the hempy.

The point: When I compute the stretch to be expected, I think that still
have to use the original height of the plant. i.e. I cannot use "X 2" against
the height after it is up-potted the final time.

This, together with the OGs perhaps being closer to a "X 3" plant, probably
lead to my head-banging plants. The last time!

LOL, I fix a problem every time....and having to wait a flowering cycle to
get better leaves a fucking mark, I'll tell you! It helps me remember!

Take care,

JD

P.S. For comparison, here is the Headband before the final up-pot:

Here is the headband at the flip:

Here is the tent during the short Veg in the tent period (7-10 days):
VeggingInTent.jpg
You can see the problem here. When picturing the stretch, you need to visualize root-balls
that are pretty much sitting on the bottom of the hempys!

No, that HPS photo was a few days after the flip...the was growth there.

Also, I wanted to add that you can see in the pre-up-potted photo which
node became the new bottom node after the up-potting. It is the first
node that has strong branches, and they are very strong branches at that!

Take care,

JD
