It's My Life ... !

It's funny how Vi is all about me, me, me. Do you ever stop and ask yourself, how does this benefit society?
How does using force to MAKE anybody pay for another benefit society? Shouldn't we leave others alone or do you find it acceptable to take from some people against their will to satisfy your wishes? That sounds self serving, almost like, well..."me,me,me".

I'm not a doctor. Nor am I rich. Nor do I want to be.. That doesn't matter to me though. If someone really needs your help and approaches you for it and it is in your power to do so, by all means help them. It is a shame people stopped helping people because they wanted to. I think you must have a proctology practise or should change to that profession. just because you see the world as a bunch of assholes anyway. You know what they say... Unless you are the lead dog your view don't change.

But you will ignore that bit of truth, just because you would then have to admit we are all equals in this world.

LOL that is everyone since nobody gets out of paying taxes.
Really? Do some research... 47% of the country rides for free. What do you think Obama has been up to? He is trying to push past 50%.... he's all about creating a dependent nation.

LOL this is almost funny after our society has spent the last 500 years exploiting the working poor in order to redistribute the wealth to a smaller and smaller subset of the population. And the interesting part is that none of this was intentional its just the way a free market economy and human nature naturally work together in the absence of regulation. Many of our most vital jobs require the least amount of training or skills ( like farming and sanitation) thus it is all about how cheep can you get someone to do the job. When you have a large surplus of available workers then the wages paid to those workers will drop because nobody wants to pay Paul $5.00 for what Peter will do for $4.75.

Remember this lyric because it how this country got to where it is now.
"Make good money, five dollars a day. Made anymore, I might move away."

None the less....47% do not contribute to the federal coffer.

No kicking into the till SHOULD mean NO SAY on how the money is spent.

This of course is not what happens and Obama knows that. What you end up with is a ppl enslaved to the federal govt. Oh, isn't that what everyone was bitching about with Bush? Well, Obama makes Bush look like a little leaguer in that regard.

Wake up..... it's not about party lines (i"m in the middle), it's about right and wrong and not busting out the country.

Today, even the poor in this country have a standard of living that would have been the envy of the rich 100 years ago. ALL classes of people have been enriched by the American dream, alas that dream is coming to an end.

Sigh.... but snce everyone pays those taxes...it's a moot point. The BIG revenue maker for the federal govt. IS income tax.... make no mistake. Your examples are not federal taxes...so why bring them up? Unless..... Do some research

The original remark i was talking about was the "Only taxpayers should be allowed to vote" and as you point out above there are other taxes than just income.

So are you saying the less you pay the less your vote should count?

It really is a no brainer.

If you don't contribute to the till, you shouldn't have any say on how it is spent. That would stop entitlement mentality politics right in it's tracks.... and the country would correct itself economically long term.

Not to mention that many who don't pay actually get a tax CREDIT ... (another form of welfare)

Correct but like i said thay 47% that does not pay income taxes still pays other federal taxes once you add gas and other excise taxes (especially the 18.4 cent/gallon gas tax). I bet that 47% shrinks to close to 0%.

Thus again I ask did you mean the less you pay the less your vote counts.

Uh oh.... he's getting farther into lala land. The 47% is INCOME TAX ONLY. It can't be whittled down son.... you either pay...or you don't. Or WORSE you don't pay, AND you get a refund check anyways (wtf?)

You are a slave and you collect..
Or you are a 'free' man and you are taken from every day - but at least you may get to influence what you are paying for.

LOL Cracker a tax is a tax, income, excise, or gas it is still money out of our pockets into the goverments and you are the one that Said "If you don't contribute to the till, you shouldn't have any say on how it is spent." You did not specify income tax only. All i am saying is there is almost nobody who doesn't pay into the till one way or another and therefore virtually everyone deserves a say.

Well, this thread has been really interesting. One thing for sure, in reading back through all the posts, its very clear on which side the haters, the envious, the jealous and the bitter reside.

To you lefties posting here, consider this: One day our grand children and great grand children will be looking back on those of us who are living and voting now, and they will ask the question: "What the fuck were they thinking?!! Why didn't they speak out?!!! Why did they sit still while the precious pearl of liberty was being destroyed?!!" I've often had the same thoughts about those who came before us ... those who stood still while the Progressive Income Tax was being passed, when the Federal Reserve Act was passed, when the money was removed from the gold standard, when every Progressive program was jammed down a misinformed and unaware public's throat ... from Wilson, FDR, Johnson ... and now Obama.

Soon to come, and issued by the Progressives in the next step toward totalitarianism: A value added tax ... in addition to the existing income tax, of course.

Interesting also, that the resident government doctor hasn't continued to post in the thread.

A well run government medical plan would allow the poor to access medical services, while letting the sniveling right wing Nazis buy expensive first rate greedy doctors services. I'd say that would be a great solution. Let's be real here, if one makes in excess of 150-300K, unless they get a catastrophic illness, they can well afford out of pocket medical, if not, high priced insurance, the cadillac plan. So all you rich motherfuckers quit sniveling, just pay your taxes and shit the hell up, thank you.
