its a girl! clone?

For the past month or so the wife and I have started 6 plants. The first 1 is short stalky and has a very beefy stem.
I was watering them yesterday and noticed pistils on her. I've already done a little LST on her.
Now I'm torn. I kinda want to clone her but I don't want to have the clones die and lose out on more bud. Not that I would intentionally kill them but as a noon at cloning they could die.
Idk maybe I will just leave it alone. Thoughts on cloning?

How can you learn and get better if you're to chicken to try?
True, I might try to take 1 cutting and see if I can get it to root. I want to get this girl finished. After shes done I will mess around with another plant or 2. I have 6 going but they could be male.

The biggest plants are usually the males lol. They just tend to grow bigger. But ive seen the biggest ones be females ;) ....so i hope you marked the clones for whos who.
Cloneing is pretty simple stuff if you make sure to follow a few rules. Temps are key. Make sure the temps stay at 78 degrees F.
Dont give them too much light. They dont need much light.
Spray them with water if they start to droop but dont soak them down. A light spray on the leaves and dome is usually good. And make sure the plugs theyre in stay moist and dont dry out or all the roots youve worked so hard to grow will die pretty quick.

And a little clone taking isnt going to mess up the yield. Usually people take them off the bottom branches which end up not really producing much, or the very top one which comes off when "topping" anyway.

If you do clone take them from the lower branches and don't wait until flower so they root without problems.

Bottom branches don't produce much? What evidence do you have of this? Got any studies to prove that?

Ya ya wanna see my study? Ill go take a picture of what the bottoms are producing. If i do will you quit being a contrary terd asking for studies that dont exist? Cause real plants are better proof than studies anyday of the week. I didnt trim the bottoms of my outdoor to see if id be better off. Theres no fucking way im better off. Next year ill be trimming up the bottom 1/3 of the plant. Every outdoor grower around here trims up the bottom and i figured cause uncle ben said i shouldnt that id give it a try and save some work. HA !!!! That was some great shitty advice. Are you trying to "help out" with the same advice?

Going to take at least 2 cuttings tonight. I was going to do it last night but I got busy.

I think I'm going to get some root gel or something that will help them root.
I've been hesitant on posting pics but I thinkiI will have to post some tonight.

Go for it, I'd like to see proof. Excuse me for questioning something based off of empirical evidence, didn't mean to offend anyone lol. "Studies" can be done on "real plants", people do them all the time.

So you recommend taking cuttings from the terminal branches? Middle of the plant?

When the fuck did i say that? You quouted me saying,"take them from the bottom because the bottom branches dont produce much". I dont want apical tops for clones. Half the time they get floppy if its warm out. Its a little early to be drunk isnt it? I mean shit, how the fuck do you try and discredit what i have to say with bullshit, and then get confused about what your trying to talk shit about, and just start making shit up.

One more question, hows the outdoor season in the desert going for ya? Heres your fucking proof ya bullshittin wise cracker. You look at the bottoms and then look at the tops. Wheres the bud? I mean seriously theres no shortage of spots to clone on these but there aint shit down at the bottom of that. If you drew an imaginary across the bottom third of the plant youd see where the no bud line is. 90% is above that line and id bet that if i took out the bottom and center that it would go straight to the top weight because of all the shitty empty sucker branches that the plant wouldnt be supporting anymore. image.jpegTHERES YOUR PROOF WISENHEIMER! You see all those empty bottom branches? I didnt go pluck the ends off for the picture fyi ;)

how bout lollipopping them to increase the bud production at the top colas and with the smaller tops u trim off the bottom 1/3 of your branches u experiment with cloning.... imo u should look into either bubble cloning(easy and effective ) or believe it or not this is what i did ...when i lollipopped i took one of the tops i had trimmed off the bottom i stack it in a bowl of water for a couple minutes to get rid of air bubbles....i made my 45 degree cut , i sliced up thru the bottom of that 1/4 inch , scraped off the skin from the stem with a razor up to about an inch from the bottom i swirled it around in my root tech cloning gel and stuck it in a cup of wet soil and stuck a ziplock bag over the plant and top of cup and left it in the bottom corner of my veg room (about 2 1/2 feet away from the cfl light) i left it alone not touching or watering it for a week.... and BANG roots in 10 days .... rock wool sucks stay away from it imo

atleast if you do it that way (with the trimming of your lollipopping ) u have nothing to lose as ur helping ur main colas and the trimmings would have just been thrown away anyways

When i get 156 outta 156 rooted in a couple clone trays i cant really afford to say rockwool sucks. Rockwool is the industry standard for a reason. We arent going to all start sticking bags over cups in the corner of our veg rooms my friend.

trimming out the centers and a little off the bottom 1/3 is not lollypopping. Im not a fan of that plant butchering to the "lollypop" extreme.

i understand and respect that... i have 10/10 success with bubble cloning , 1/1 with this new method and 0/10 with rockwool.... thats just my experience
