It is time to get involved.

Got up early and drove to the Rep. Mike Rogers' Meet the Constituent' this morning-standing room only. I never had a chance to talk, the seniors were there in force, they spoke about Medicare, Social Security, the debit limit, etc. Then one woman stook up and talked about the floatilla from Greece to Gaza and she took up a tremendous amount of time.

I stood there for 1-1/2 hours and didn't get to say a word in edgewise.

Ok, I'll go visit a MiNorml meeting and see if they would like to help or takeover the 'walk the halls'.

If they agree we can still help by getting the word out, dropping off fliers, posting them on light posts, on bulletin boards where we shop, etc.

I can't do this alone, I will make a pdf of any flier you want, I'll help organize the first meeting (though this should be done by the compassion clubs). Probably the meeting should be somewhere mid-state, with an additional meetings in the upnorth areas and the U.P. MiNormal would give us the ability to communicate across most channels, I think.

You see WW we are kinda on the same path. One thing that you and I share diffrent points of veiws on is this. I will not go to lansing with 15 people. I will go to lansing with 5000 people and make sure that we take up all the time. I am not afraid to tell the governor "we will be back".

The times have come so far along where the individuals are not heard. As a matter of fact this is the origin of the thread.

I don't care if 5,000 show up. Actually, I'd love it. But the organizational meetings need to be limited or chaos will happen.

I'd go if 2 people showed up. I don't want to ever say I did nothing, when I have a voice, even if it is a little, tiny voice off in the desert.

Like I told my doctor... you can let the world know my patient history I do not give a fuck. Let me sighn it the world and I will not have to repeat this shit again. I am not hiding you and all your peers are welcome here and the governor can have my name.. again not hiding nor care.

I am more afraid of a snake then I am of the governor. I am not happy of the governors authority over my life though as to tell me where I can shit.

Please stay and play. I went today to talk to Rep. Rogers to discuss HR 2306.

The other problem we are having here in this state is the erosion of rights within our state.

You might be onto something! Maybe norml national would sponsor a 'Wall the Halls' for all states! That would send one hell of a message about HR 2306 and state issues.
Who here on this website would have those contacts?

sorry, i wasn't keeping up with the thread, but HR 2306: Ending Federal Marijuana Prohibition Act of 2011

isn't a state matter alone, buddy ;)

If there is not already a chapter in your area, or at your school, we encourage you to start one. It doesn't take much, and MI-NORML needs contacts throughout the state in order to further promote cannabis legalization! Step-by-step directions for starting a MI-NORML chapter, as well as example by-laws, guidelines for running a chapter, and other useful documents, can all be found in our Chapter Information Packet. If you have any questions or need any help along the way, please do not hesitate to contact us. And remember, this is your NORML!
