The poster getting ready to do his bid next month said that the feds read his postings here but didn't use anything against him from it. So yea they are here lurking.

Ever follow a link posted by anyone to another site where your IP can be logged?
Probably. I would think people breaking the law enough to worry would not post
but that is not the case i`m sure. To think they do not have time to monitor is just silly.
It is called software and a dedicated team, Informants etc.. They have been following little guys to big guys for years. On top of that if you are busted they would probably tell you not to be talking about any ongoing investigations. IE: tipping off the folks on the interwebs.
Or face ADDITIONAL time. If you do not think an internet friend would turn you in for a reduced sentence than you have more faith in your fellow man than me. To think it has NEVER happened would be pretty far fetched in my mind. Anyway I get paranoid from time to time and I run about 8 plants if I were a real player the last thing I would do is show my face on an internet forum. I do have enough faith that at least for the time being the feds are not interested in small medical grows. Other than that all bets are off.

Hey, cops want to grow better pot too. Kevin Murphy was banned. He came back with 2 or 3 other aliases but was caught very quickly and it wasn't from IP tracking - just a couple of mods who were really on top of things.

ya,that info was presented as evidence in my case.The DA went thru and itemized all my bills,minutes and usage ,voicemails,texts etc and brought it up when they were deciding my charges.

people could get caught by using this site by taking pictures with their phones, when you do such there is a GPS stamp on that photo that tells exactly where the growing is being done. if you use a normal camera its fine.
